After leaving a career as a flight attendant, Stella started training as a wildlife carer and over the past 25 years she鈥檚 devoted her life, and her home, to looking after orphaned wildlife.

Tragically Stella lost her home in the 鈥楤lack Saturday鈥� bush fires of 2009, which ravaged the area, killing 173 people and decimating the local wildlife. Since then Stella and her husband Alan have rebuilt their house as a wildlife shelter and continue to care for wild orphans 24/7. is one of Stella鈥檚 full time charges.
