A little bit about Twin B

Where were you born?

I would've played for England ... if I was good!
Twin B

Plaistow, East End baby!

Your favourite hobby and/or present as a kid?

Football. I would've played for England ... if I was good! Not really I'm heavy, I just wasn't focused (good)!

How you got into being a DJ/presenter?

DJing about a bit, mixtapes, and loving new black music! Stumbled onto Ras Kwame's show once and I guess I stayed!

Your biggest influence(s)?

People with passion and drive, and your usual world changers like Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela.

Biggest achievements?

I've done a few things that have won awards, like a a mixtape called Split Mic (UMA Best compilation 2004), released a few records on an imprint at a label, DJ'd at some heavy places, but I'd like to think I've still got loads to achieve.

Key tune that you love or inspired you?

Busta Rhymes - Dangerous. It was the first piece of vinyl I bought as a DJ and I played it over and over at my friend's yard until it was over scratched.

What is your favourite lyric?

Anything by Bob Marley, timeless and sensible.

What is your dream gig or collaboration?

A big, peaceful UK music gig at a packed out Wembley Stadium. I'd be opening up the show on the decks.

Interests / hobbies outside music?

Things exist outside of music? I better start finding them. I do watch the odd good DVD, read the odd book, cinema, and time with the loved ones is alright.

Three rules you live your life by?

聽1. Treat others how you would like to be treated!
聽2. Leave the toilet seat up! We're men, we like to scope the target before aim!
聽3. Don't play music loud on public transport. Well, unless it's my radio show on your portable DAB.

What would you do if you were a woman for a day?

I'd try and not talk to see if it was possible. I can't imagine it is.聽

What's your weakness?

Ice cream and a pretty face. Imagine an ice cream wrapped in a pretty face, I'd be in trouble!!

Favourite piece of clothing and why?

Plain white T-shirts. Can't go wrong.

What's the most expensive thing you've ever bought that's not a house?

A car that got broken into the day I bought it. I drove it once actually, crashed, left it at a mechanics, and to this day I really don't now where it is, and I don't care!
