Beautiful, OG, you have a good eye for photos. I love the bridge with the flowers growing on it.

Jill from EK

nice snaps-i think i've seen that bridge before-is it the one going to the isle of seil?

carol. from over here

Took the question right off my keyboard Carol. It is a cracking bridge though.

Yes, If you come to Luing, You have to across this bridge in Isle of Seil. You might see my friend (some people thought he is my dad, hahaha) walking in T&T with Summer Style all the year.

Lovely bridge complete with flowers ... did anyone ever watch a film with Charlton Heston and Edward G Robinson called Soylent Green? At the end where EGR is meeting his maker, there was Beethovens Pastorale and a wonderful display of natures very best images for him to enjoy, including leaping deer and shimmering waterfalls, and all the best things of nature which nobody had seen for lifetimes (set in the bleak future) ... That flower-bridge could hold its head up in the company of those images ... :-)

Ah, the bridge over the Atlantic? Nice blog, OG! I like your PHOTOGRAPHS.

Barney from Swithiod snappy

Soaplady, I've seen that film. That sequence at the end was quite heartbreaking (although that seemed like a nice way to go!). OG's bridge photo would look well on a calendar for May, don't you think?

Great pics! I love these old "humpy" bridges - they are real works of art. There is a lovely one near Gairn Shiel near Ballater, over the River Gairn. The hump is so steep and sharp that I know of one tour bus which destroyed some of its hydraulic systems trying to go over it.... Not as pretty as the Seil bridge however!

Fabulous pics, OG. Excellent views.

The purple flowers are very pretty, do you know what they are, OG?

Isn't it interesting how the flowers have grown only on the "wall" part of the bridge and not on the main section? It must be different mortar or something?
