work starts
Work has started on getting the wind turbine in. We will be only the second school in the Northern Isles with its own wind turbine. We will keep you posted as work progresses.

That's really great, FS, you are showing the way. How cool to be able to generate your own power! Brilliant.

Jill from EK

well done flotta school--hope other regions will follow your example!

carol from hot,windy,south of france

Could you tell us (with teacher's help) some more about the wind turbine? Make and model, how much electricity is it supposed to produce, battery for storage of electricity, sales of surplus to electric company, height of turbine, max. diameter, costs (incl. installation). Warranty. Just curious.

mjc from NM,USA

That's great news. Please do let us know how it goes.

Carol from IBHQ

How much energy will it make and how much did it cost?

James from Kinloch Rannoch

Good work, FS! Practical technology and economics all rolled into one task. Make sure you work out the overall picture, too!

Barney from Swithiod rooting for the wind machine
