Biography
Australian model, actress and singer Holly Rachel Vukadinović is better known as Holly Valance.
Holly is well known for her international number one hit single Kiss Kiss’ and her role as Felicity ‘Flick’ Scully in Australian soap Neighbours. Valance has also appeared in numerous TV shows and films including CSI and Taken.
Holly is really excited be a part of Strictly this year and can’t wait to learn the Paso Doble.
Career
Holly began her career in 1999 when she was cast in Australian soap Neighbours . She left the series three years later to pursue a career in music.
After gaining international success with her number one single Kiss Kiss, Holly decided to return to acting in 2004. Valance made appearances in series such as CSI: Miami and Entourage. In 2005, she appeared in an episode of CSI: NY and then guest-starred in Prison Break in 2006 as Nika Volek, a role which she continued to portray in the show's second season.
Holly landed a role in the National Lampoon comedy Pledge This in 2006 alongside American socialite Paris Hilton. In the same year Holly also appeared in Dead or Alive, a movie adaptation of the popular video game series.
The next few years continued to be successful for Holly - she played roles in TV series Shark and Moonlight, acted alongside Liam Neeson in the film Taken, and made an appearance in Miss Marple: The Pale Horse. Holly even moved into the video game arena by playing Brenda Snow in Command and Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising.
Background
Holly's mother is from Southampton, England and her father hails from Serbia. Both her parents were fashion models and her father is also a pianist and guitarist.
Her parents live in Melbourne with Holly's two younger sisters, Coco Melody, and Olympia Montana.
Holly has a home in the lively Melbourne suburb of Brighton. There are rumours in the press that a marriage may be on the cards, but Holly is staying tight lipped.
Trivia
Holly is related to the late British comedian Benny Hill - Hill's cousin was her grandfather.
When Holly isn't busy, she likes to swim, go for walks and watch kickboxing.
Holly became a martial arts fan following four months of intensive training for her role in Dead or Alive.
Her favourite meals are antipasto, Greek and Lebanese food, or rocket and parmesan salad.
