The Ö÷²¥´óÐã National Orchestra of Wales, conducted by Lawrence Foster, and the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera, conducted by Paul Daniel, accompanied the competitors in the five preliminary round concerts.
The official accompanists were Simon Lepper, Phillip Thomas and LlÅ·r Williams.
