Ö÷²¥´óÐã

The Welsh-language media supported the newly-formed Radio Luxembourg from the off, with Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio Cymru's C2 and S4C's Bandit programmes giving the band exposure. They recorded their first demo, Fuzzy Rugg (Dianc I'r Dwyrain), made a video of the song for Bandit and then in early 2004 recorded three songs for C2 with renowned producer and pseudo-popstar David Wrench.

These well-produced tracks and their existing demos swiftly raised them to the top of the Welsh-language scene: an extensive touring schedule included headline slots at the two main Welsh-language festivals - Maes B at the Eisteddfod and Miri Madog.

In October 2005 Radio Luxembourg returned to the studio with Wrench and producer Euros Childs of Gorky's Zygotic Mynci to record their debut single. Pwer Y Fflwer/Lisa, Magic A Porva was released through Ciwdod, the Welsh-language record label arm of Community Music Wales.

The single was a success, reaching number 27 in Radio 1's Festive Fifty chart, after receiving airplay on Huw Stephens's OneMusic show. A Radio 1 session on the Bethan And Huw show followed.

In September they released the vinyl-only single Os Chi'n Lladd Cindy, which led to a session with Marc Riley for Ö÷²¥´óÐã 6 Music.

In March 2007 the Diwrnod Efo'r Anifeiliaid EP, recorded with David Wrench and Euros Childs, was released by the Peski label.

In January 2009 the band changed their name to Race Horses, A debut double A-side single is scheduled for release in April 2009.

About their name change, lead vocalist Meilyr Jones said, "We signed to a label in October who will be releasing our records nationally and internationally. It soon became apparent that we would have to change our name due to the online comeback of the famous radio station and we felt it best to set ourselves apart from the possible puzzlement. We decided to change our name to Race Horses."

Race Horses is a metaphor for the band current status - full of momentum and excitement, Meilyr added, "It's all feels great at the moment. Gwion Llewelyn is our new drummer and we all feel so energized and fresh. We're looking forward to our new release which contains one Welsh and one English track. We've also been writing loads of new songs and we can't wait for people to hear the record and to start playing the new songs live."
