On air at 1700&1800GMT: Gbagbo in 'a bunker'

| Tuesday, 4 April 2011 | 18:00 - 20:00 GMT

Whatever I write in this post about Ivory Coast is likely to be out of date within minutes. So I'm better off directing you to the Live Page for the latest. What is certain is that Laurent Gbagbo is coming under unrelenting pressure.
On today's late edition we'll attempt to speak to the following people in Abidjan:

- Ivorians and French people who live in the city

- Reporters from the 主播大秀 and other media organisations (you read the 主播大秀's Andrew Harding's latest blog post here.)

- Spokespeople for the UN and aid agencies in Abidjan

- Spokesmen for Laurent Gbagbo and Alassane Ouattara

- A French-speaking 主播大秀 journalist who can guide us through the tweets coming out of Abidjan.

- We'll also pull together what testimony there is relating the deaths of hundreds of people in Duekoue last week.

If you're in Ivory Coast or have friends and relatives who are there and would like to take part, please do get in touch.

The surrender of Laurent Gbagbo is not the solution to the crisis in Ivory Coast. Charles Taylor鈥檚 ascension to the presidency was only the beginning ofthe second phase of the Liberian civil war. -Togba

Why have we not learn from history? Wasn鈥檛 it better to share power than asking the protection of the very force you try to discredit. It鈥檚 time to go Gbagbo remember what鈥檚 goes around come around enough is enough. From Hassan H. Atieh, monrovia Liberia.
