Firstly who thought "Armchair Euros" was a bright idea? It isn't.

Secondly can you please remember it is the football analysis and commentaries we all want to listen to, not a load of Ö÷²¥´óÐã "experts" in Salford wittering on as fill ins for hours on end.

I am looking forward to the actual matches and the 606 phone ins, the rest of it is truly avoidable for me. I would like to see Spain win again, I think their lives are in turmoil at the moment and therefore the Spanish people deserve a celebration.

I'd agree about the Armchair Euros. I could have gone into a pub in the Islington area if I'd have wanted to listen to some Arsenal supporting non-experts giving their opinions. There wasn't any analysis and it wasn't funny so I can't understand what it was there for.

I'll be listening to most of the live coverage on Five Live as they've assembled a group of experts far better then either TV channel. It's a shame that David Moyes and Phil Neville aren't there this time as they were excellent in South Africa.
However, please can somebody who's a fan of Robbie Savage explain to me what he adds to the quality of coverage?
If I wanted to listen to an ex-pro telling (or rather shouting) me that his opinion is worth more than the listener, I'd be listening to TalkSport!

Ok I have watched the best part of 2 games and already i am fed up.....why ? well already i have to put up with the regular camera shots of 'pretty women' ....guess what i don't want it. I would much rather have a generic shop of the crowd having fun. If I want pretty women then i will go to a pretty women web site. Ö÷²¥´óÐã and ITV GET A GRIP ....Your customers are not all MEN... YOU CAN EDIT THIS AS THE FEEDS ARE CLEARLY NOT REAL TIME..

Don't forget the inane and Ö÷²¥´óÐã obsession of ' celebrity in the crowd watch ' inserted at various times into commentaries, which takes precedent over anything on the field of play.......' Oooh look who I have spotted in the crowd Robbie ? Is it ? Yes it is.....its Pippa sitting next to Cheryl Cole.Well I never would have believed it.Was that a goal Robbie ? '

If any producers are reading this, the coverage on Five Live has been miles better than the TV. So please, please stop mentioning that the commentators are 'in the stadium'
It just sounds childish and petty and something I'd expect from the station that I assume you are referring to with these constant reminders.

Agree about Armchair Euros, its awful ! Also , Robbie 'for me' Savage, how much longer do we have to put up with this idiot !

I'd be happy to listen to Mark Chapman all the time, he is the best presenter of sport on 5 Live.

Yesterday I listened to some, and watched the rest, of the England match. Sorry but there is no real comparison to tv and radio commentators because of obvious reasons, but where the radio comes unstuck is the shouting, it is impossible to enjoy a game with that yelling.

I'd have to disagree with the comment about shouting on the radio. I had to switch to the red button commentary last night because I could take any more of Jonathan Pearce and his ridiculous over the top commentary. Ian Dennis was a model of constraint in comparison to Pearce. I don't understand how even the biggest football fan could get so over excited by a Ukrainian goal!
To top it off he then quoted a poet called Shevchenko after the 2nd goal which sounded like the most over-rehearsed comment I've heard.

Ö÷²¥´óÐã5 Live _ I like all the background build up - getting a feel for the place almost wishing I was there... I don't want to hear who will be playing 4 4 2 with a sweeper at the back, etc... thats for anoraks. Football is as much a soap Opera as it is a Sport - and MORE sexy women please - I have no issues with that - (when are we gonna have cheerleaders in the Premier League?:-)

btw HOW CAN YOU LISTEN TO Radio Commentary to a broadcasted match. ALL live TV broadcasts are delayed so the Radio Commentary is about 5 secs ahead of the TV Broadcast (which kinda spoils the fun)... and could the Ö÷²¥´óÐã5 Live Scots/Irish Commentator (Alistair Bruce?) not cover anymore English games, I am sick of his constant, moaning at how bad England is... talk about sour grapes.

The games that are televised on the Ö÷²¥´óÐã have the radio commentary on the Red Button which seems to be synchronised with the TV coverage.
I assume the 'Scots/Irish' (no idea how you could confuse the 2 accents) is Alan Green who commentated on England games for at least 25 years! I appreciate a bit of honest commentary about the England team, rather than the sycophantic nonsense on the TV.

Well He don't sound like Eamon Holmes so I wasn't sure.....Anyway I don't think Greens commentary is totally honest... sounds like he has an agenda... Last night, most English were expecting the first match to go pretty badly with France's recent record .... so 1-1 is OK considering our worst build up possible AND many of our top players not there ... eveyone knows its gonna be a wing and prayer championship for us .... Let's hear Green shout "Come on England" next time.... truth is, he would choke on it.

It's not just Campbell but his sidekick sports reporter, who's blokey chummy delivery grates with me at the best of times. Today was in a different league- I really don't understand why he needs to be in Ukraine to present the sports news. He introduced a clip of Roy Hodgson being interviewed by somebody else so what did it add to coverage by him being there?

Good grief if England had got a 1-1 draw against France under Redknapp he would have been praising Redknapp to the rafters.Greens negativity and whining holds no bounds.Another 5live presenter full of his own self importance and employed purely on an ego trip.I doubt whether VD will get out there.......she has enough trouble getting to Salford !Btw could someone turn down the volume down for the shouty, shouty commentators on the 5live trailers.I can't hear a blind word of what they are saying.

Will 5 Live stop talking about the Republic of Ireland as if it was a home nation. Its a foreign country as much as France or Sweden is.
