What happened?:Ìý It’s immediately apparent these guys are a bit further down the line than our openers, more polished, more rehearsed and more confident.Ìý They’re a more intelligent twist on the contemporary indie, a little bit heavier and rockier, espresso rather than filter.Ìý They’re nice guys though, inquiring about out health and advising us not to get sunburnt as we listen to their powerful mix of jerk and melody (and the occasional cowbell).Ìý The subtleties of their song-writing are a bit lost in this space, meaning that the nuances in there don’t come through as on previous occasions.Ìý It’s a shame that there’s such a small crowd for them, meaning they’re unlikely to conquer the world on the back of this performance.

Ìý

Shining Light: Their song-writing ability.Ìý They’re a notch above the usual, even if they’re not displaying it to its best here.

Ìý

Meltdown: They seem strangely placed at such a family oriented festival.Ìý There aren’t too many local music scene followers around, and this isn’t exactly generic all-ages material.
