What happened:ÌýThe night before, Public Enemy taught Electric Picnic to Fight the Power, but it was Cast Of Cheers who taught the crowd how to take it back, with their powerful performance on the Cosby Stage. With equipment thefts hopefully a distant memory, the Dublin guitar fiddlers produced a pretty impressive performance in front of a supportive Irish crowd. New material was tested, it went down a treat, and what would be considered old classics like I Am Lion, Tigerfox and Derp were delivered in the usual battering-ram fashion. Duelling guitars, bleepy synths and get wrenching drums, what more could you want?
Different Class: New material was very well received. More of the same sound, but who's complaining?
