GOTW: Cashier No. 9 Tour
Not a single recommendation this week but three in a row from a band making the effort to, you know, see a bit of the country. After a remarkable 2011 which saw shows all over Europe, numerous radio sessions, a headline appearance at Glasgowbury and a Choice Music Prize nomination, are approaching the end of promotion for their debut album 'To The Death of Fun' and getting ready for chapter 2.
If you're yet to see them perform that little blinder of an album live, you've three very good chances this weekend as Cashier perform in Belfast, Derry and Draperstown.
Speaking specifically about the Belfast show, the band collectively said:
"The Empire show is our first Belfast headline in over a year. We ve been polishing up all the old ballads this week , so bring a lighter and a few tissues. And get down to see the mighty who are supporting."
Kowalski eh? What a brucie. They'll play all three shows with The Murder Balladeers completing the bill in Derry and PrettyChildBackfire opening in Draperstown.
