Summer festival dates for your calendar!

The majority of the summer festivals have confirmed their dates as summer approaches.

Line-up announcements have begun for some, and many more to follow but we thought we'd give you a simple summer plan of some of the main festivals to help you plan your live musicÌýfuelledÌýcalendar. If we've missed any, email atl@bbc.co.uk.

Ìý

MAY

takes place at Bellurgan Park, outside Dundalk on the 4th-6th May 2012. The line up includes God Is An Astronaut, Cathy Davey, RSAG, Jinx Lennon and loads more. Check out the full line-up .


The multicultural and electronicÌý
returns on the 25th to 27th of May at Belvedere House, ÌýPark Mullingar Co.Westmeath. The line up has yet to be announced.

JUNE

Ìýonce again kicks of festival season in Northern Ireland on the 1st and 2nd of June at Killinchy, Do. Down. The line-up has yet to be announced but headliners in the past have been A Plastic Rose, And So I Watch You From Afar and Lafaro.

On the same weekendis back for it's second year on the grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art at The Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, Dublin from Saturday theÌý2nd to Monday 4th June 2012. As previously reported, the likes ofÌýNew Order, Leftfield, Death Cab for Cutie, Field Music, Andrew Bird and The Rapture and many more will play the event.

The boutiqueÌý Festival returns on the 23rd and 24th of June at Ballinlough Castle, Co. Westmeath. No details of the line-up have been released as yet.

Ìýsurf & music festival returns for its fifth year to Bundoran, Co. Donegal on the 29th of June to the 1st of July. Again, this years line up has yet to be announced but the likes of Ziggy Marley, BellX1, The Delays, The Go! Team and Grandmaster all played it last year.

JULY

Now in it's twelfth year, the ever reliableÌýÌýreturns to the Sperrin Mountains on Saturday the 21st of July. Details of the line-up have yet to be announced.

AUGUST

Fermanagh arts and music festivalÌýhave confirmed their return on the 3rd - 5th August 2012. The line up has yet to be announced for the family farm based event.

will also take place on the 3rd-5th of August down in Mitchelstown, Cork. First set of acts are due to be released next week. Last year the Editors, Ash, Therapy? and Ham Sandwich all played the event.

is back on the ground of Charleville Castle, Tullamore, Co. Offaly Ìýon the 3rd - 5th of August 2012. Again, no line up as yet. The festival has an Irish music focus with the likes of We Cut Corners, Mmoths, Le Galaxie, Jogging, Squarehead and loads more playing in 2011.

Magheralin Music Festival in Co. DownÌýwill take place on Thursday the 16th and Friday 17th of August. Acts announced so far include Exit Pursued By Bear, Downcoil, 20 Second Century, Like Statues, the Couth, Polar Beyond, Stillpoint and many more.

will return to Hillsborough on the 17th to the 19th of August. ÌýThe event has a wide mix of comedy, poetry, music and family activities. The line-up has yet to be released. Last year seen Not Squares, Duke Special and Cashier No. 9 headline different nights of the event.

of Art is back on the 17th and 18th of August 2012 at Ballymully Cottage Farm, Limavady, Co. L'Derry. Last year Turin Brakes headlined the festival, with Rainy Boy Sleep, Lantern for a Gale, Swanne River and more making up the eclectic line-up. This year's line-up has yet to be announced.

will take place in Custom House Square, Belfast ÌýonÌývarious dates in the latter half of August. As previously reported, Skrillex, Tom Jones, Two Door Cinema Club, James Morrison, and Madness will all headline dates. David Guetta will headline the last night and is now sold out.

will announce details of their 2012 line up and dates next month.

returns from the 31st of August to the 2nd of September in Co. Laois. The initial acts are set to be announced this week.
