Have several log ins to prevent people knowing that they are posting 24/7.
Look to be noticed on several Celeb websites.

Congratulations Chris you truly deserve it. Loved your comment on the show about going home to watch newsnight! There comes a point in any night out where my home becomes an irresistable treat to me and I have to just get there!

Absolutely agree about prioritising and "the great scheme of things". Few things truly matter in life other than family, health, good friends you would trust with your life and a certain amount of financial security, well just enough to keep all of the aforementioned in good working order.

I don't know about the internet but I think some children are definitely addicted to computer games. I have watched children in assembly operating invisible console thingies with the thumbs while staring vacantly into space. Mind you that head did do mind numbingly dull assemblies.

Schools - I went to two excellent state schools and had mostly good, one or two inspirational and the occasional appaulingly bad, teachers.I got loads of O levels, reasonable A levels (my fault I flunked French I didn't even bother to read the set texts), a good degree and a PGCE. I can't imagine sending my children to a private school in any circumstances BUT I do admit that we are one of the few authorities still to have grammar schools, and my eldest attends the girls' one and I can't imagine her anywhere else. I appreciate some people don't have that option. My other daughter attends a state high school and it's not perfect, but she's doing OK and is very happy there.

Have loved reading all your teenager woes! So reassuring! I could write the book!

We were awoken at 7.30am which was more than acceptable. After he had spent all morning playing, we shot up the M11 to Duxford Imperial War Museum and had a great time. Then to ToysRus to spend some birthday money, and have a very happy, tired little boy now.

There is a big airshow at Duxford this weekend PP, thought of you particularly when I saw the sign.

I did 'the talk' at about 12 yr old for all of them. Oldest trapped in the bath, middle one trapped in the back of the car driving through Edinburgh, youngest - gave up, bought a book. That was hilarious - bought it in my lunch hour and it disappeared round the office for the rest of the afternoon! Everyone wanted a look at it.

If I enjoy it as much as I think I will then it may be a regular occurance, him in a hotel, me at home, maybe once every three months or so....

The evening's entertainment at the acoustic club was Roy Bailey (celebrating 50 yrs in the business this year) he was extremely good.

I picked up my friend with her guide dog and another friend from nearby and took them to the venue as their normal lift wasn't available.

Swanage is looming and I am looking forward to the fun and frivolity.

Think others are right, it is the impending birth that's making you worry. Also I think having people around you who you love makes you worry more - life's just a vicious circle, if you had noone to love, what would be the point? Also you probably feel very protective of Tash at the moment, it's just that animal instinct coming out!

Hope you're all ok, and LM had a good birthday and Gingembre's eldest is continuing to enjoy high school. My two went back ok but I miss them, god knows what I'll be like when they go off to uni or to travel round the world!

I worry a lot - its one of the reasons Mr bp refused to marry me for so long - he knew what i would be like on the run up! not been too bad so far - the important thing is the marrige - not the day!

I like carrot cake - isn't corgette cake green? thats feels worng! Not seen mamma mia - am planning to get it out on DVD - well its 15 squid if we both go and I haven't got the spare cash at the mo!

as usual, sleep is scarce following a night shift, was away with the fairies this morning when the phone rang, such a pain as I can never then get back to sleep.
Bought one of those fruit named mp3 players to replace the smaller memory one I already had at the weekend and have been putting cd's onto the laptop to transfer to it ever since, about 80 down, 150 or so to go, loving the old skool stuff at the bottom of the pile.....brilliant!

Thank you for your comments re #1 girl, her bus didn't turn up on day 2! As usual she laughed it off, got a lift in from her granny and was late for registration, 2/2 so far, wonder if she got her hat-trick this morning?

Firstly, courgette cake is divine. You have to trust me on this, but it is divine. When I made one for my birthday to take into work, I didn't tell anyone what it was made of. Word soon spread how fab it was and before I knew it, the plate was clean!

If anyone wants me to email them the recipe for courgette cake, msg me on FB and I'll sort it out.

I've got one of the fruit things. A nano 4gb pink fruit thing. I treated myself for my Moonwalk training in January last year - and use it every single day. Would be lost without my docking station tho!

Will be dipping in and out during the day. May also pop back on here for a chat!!

We lit a fire a couple of nights ago in the living room because we were so cold but within half an hour we had all the doors and windows open because it was too flipping hot! Just can't get it right this time of year.

Has anybody found any conkers? I looked in the woods this morning and found loads of the green spiky shells but when I opened them up they were just a solid green mass, nothing like conkers at all. is it too early?

At home today as Thursday classes don't start till next week, so am facing the hideous task of sorting out all my work stuff. I The box that is supposed to contain my clarinet music I have already found:

A "Bandaid" original single (rather embarrassingly won, not bought)

I know what you mean BsM, my two were fighting over the fire. The Dobe gets so close you can almost smell the heat coming off her coat and if the Manchester gets there first she sits on top of him (he's only small so poor sod has to move). They then proceed to cook their brains until bedtime. Mad!

Reasons not to like Nigella Lawson:

1. Everything she says / does is suggestive. She will not just test fruit / veg for ripeness, she will "squeeze" and "fondle". She will not just lick a chocolate covered spoon, she will make sure the chocolate drips down over her plump bottom lip whilst looking from under dusky eyelashes into an apparently Vaseline-smeared camera lens.

2. Her programme shows her doing her own laundry / travelling by bus / sleeping in a tiny single bed in what would appear to be a broom cupboard. Yeah, right.

3. AS IF she would allow the cameras in at night to snap her taking a cheeky nibble of something phallic at midnight. As if.

Having said all that, I think the show is absolutely hilarious.

MV # 96: I was interested to see you mention John Diamond. I never did read his newspaper column, but I read his book"C". What an amazing, brave, man he was. He entered hell, and then even deeper into hell in order to try beat his cancer.

He adored Nigella and his children - I would think she was an incredible support to him.

I think she's terrific, but I do see what some people are saying: she does pout a lot!
