I have welled up on many occassion due to the lovely words of an email, oft typed off the cuff, without prior planning. Which is why the words read on the screen mean so much.

There is nothing like a bit of welling up on a wet Wednesday ;) Sometimes it's nice to know that you are loved and appreciated.

I'd like to steal a quote from my favourite TV programme Grey's Anatomy.....

"Did you say it?, I love you.. I don't ever wanna live without you. You changed my life. Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it. But every now and then, drink it in, cause this is it, it might all be gone tomorrow."

We should all make it our goal today to tell someone that we love them, perhaps someone that we wouldn't normally say it to. Go on say it!

I think email and text has actually brought the art of writing back to the forefront. I know that people say it is a very inpersonal way of communicating but when you see an email like that, there is no longer an argument for the inpersonal side. It is back to the old days of letter writing just electronically.

I too have received emails like that and it is wonderful to hear lovely words that you dont always get to hear when you just rub along without a hitch. There is nothing like a bit of appreciation from those around you, especially when you have such a good team like yours Christos.

as my cat has just decided he needs my attention, I shall proclaim to all of blogland, i love you Rufus!!!

I am terribly bad at telling people I love them - other then Mr bp who I tell every day - I am also bad at telling people how much they mean to me.

Luckily for me I have some very understanding friends and family!

..And speakin' a dragons, am off now to launch a surprise attack on Sainsbury's with Renee and Joan. Renee needs some suet and gravy browning, a good rummage through the cabbages and to check the sliced loaves for asylum-seekers, and Joan is fully psyched-up and heavily armed with a receipt which proves beyond all legal doubt that she was overcharged for the 3 for 2 Toilet Duck.

Morning all!

It is so lovely when you get an unexpected message from someone that triggers that 'welling up' thing. I have had many in recent months.

I think that we find it easier to focus on negatives and criticism so when we're told something so nice and heartfelt it often comes as a surprise. It's important to remember that people see as differently to how we see ourselves sometimes.

I have learned so much about me to be honest that I see myself totally different now. But I am still me, just with a healthier outlook. Mostly!

Back to the important business of baking bread now....busy, busy, busy!

It may be pelting it down up 'ere, but I don't care, we've been allocated a house in Plymouth (ok, we can't move in until October, but we've got a house!!!). Of course this means I've had to retract my notice for now, so I can carry on here for a bit!!

Baggy: re: telling people you love them. Isn't it incredible that we can tell our partner - a complete stranger who comes into our life - that we love them - but we can't say it to our own family?! I was exactly the same, but when I reached about 30 I decided that I really must tell my mum and dad how much I loved them. They were so embarrassed the first time - they had never told any of their children that they loved them. But, it got easier and easier and I am so grateful that when they died, we all knew how much we loved each other. But ... I know, it's not easy to say!

I may as well join in with the love fest too ..... I love you all!

Lovely words Christophe. Me, I well up on numerous occasions, be it words, films, inc wildlife where animals get hurt, I know its nature, but I still get upset! Then there's tears of happiness, weddings etc. I'm just a soppy old s*d!!

Clodagh - I can relate to your post #119 regarding privacy, I have a recurring dream about wanting to go to the loo and only finding ones that are VERY public with either glass walls or no door! I think this is all about protecting my privacy and maybe this is the reason I want to remain anonymous on here. I also have nothing to hide but a little bit of me wants to hold back, Who knows, I may change my views in the future and come and meet some of you. I hope so!

I know I don't tell enough people I love them, I think that stems from early childhood, I knew I was loved but I don't recall my parents being over affectionate and that obviously rubbed off.

Afternoon all dudes!

Baggy, the first thing I did when I started here was put my Russell Beand pix on my wall. I also have a Lucien Freud print, various ticket stubs to keep me smiling by remembering the good times, a calendar which I customise every month (July = Take That), pix of sootycat, pix of me and Mr Deev in our Rocky Horror finery and a pic of Hectors House (are you too young to remembererer Hector and Lady Zsa Zsa?) On my desk I have a pic of sootycat in a silver sparkly frame, and a pic of Mr Deev, and a Bhudda, and a witch.

My justification is that it's my space and I spend so many hours here I want my environment to reflect me. Which it does.

Will you be on view to the public / clients in your new position?

on my desk i have pencil pictures of JD and DT, a JD calendar, framed piccy of mr bp - abacus that was bought by a friend, and stand up piccies of me and him and the cats and me and ewan - just feel that might be too much?

On my pod walls I have work notes and finace calendar and my first aid certificates, oh and I have a dual screen set up - so its quite busy really here!

oh - and Emo news - not saying anything about Errol but hes already wanting to get on with my girls and hes three months old! Oh errrr!

He is Stuart Little. I found him run over nrea Bristol airport,in fact he had a tyre track right down his middle.

I brought him home and washed him in the machine and he now accomapanies me through thick and thin.

He is very well travelled and has been around the world several times with me . (mileage wise)

Anyone else got that special little travel buddy that you just cant leave at home when you go away,c'mon now spill!

Any road. Have just returned from Sainsbury's. And not content with dealin' with Renee and Joan givin' the Taliban a run for their money, committin' unspeakable acts against the Warburton's thick sliced and fightin' over the last lettuce, have had to face a large wasp in the kitchen upon our return. I say face it; the downdraught from its rotor blades blew me hair all over me face and nearly pinned me to the fridge door. Luckily Renee's Bits & Bobs drawer was open next to me so I was able to grab the chain-saw and fend it off with a 6-er to the boundary before Renee got it in a headlock and knocked it out with the rollin' pin.

Now all we need is to dispose of the body. Anybody know if Wigan Council will take it in a rolled-up carpet fastened up with hairy string. (Also courtesy of the B&B drawer). It's not still buzzin'. I've checked.

Wasp week. I'll ruddy say it is.

I feel a bit left out as I don't have anything about my desk. Well apart from a few stress balls that I throw at my collegue every now and again, when his being naughty. I do have a Patrick Dempsey screen save, which I blow a kiss to each night and say Goodbye McDreamy ...LOL!

In my car however, I have a little bear, called Alton Katanga Towers (why I hear you ask) because when I did Yoof Work, we took the kids to Alton Towers (other theme parks are available and just as pricey!!) and they won him by throwing something at something at the place where the Katanga ride was - so now hopefully it all makes sense as to why his called that!!

I need to get out more!

Sorry to hear about your head falling off Chris. What you need is a crash helmet - made of cork preferably. That way it will keep you cool in Summer and warm in Winter! And by the way it's going to be good weather tomorrow for 4 days just enough to beat the Aussie again!

Strangely enough, or maybe not - my name is from my little green beany character that I was given as a little girl. He fitted snugly in my hand and I went to sleep with him every night. He was small enough to be taken everywhere and so duly was. Unfortunately, I have mislaid him now but suspect that I will come across him again at some point in the future when sorting out things. I miss him now though.

Talking of weather, heard on the raydeo 'smornin that the met office are playing down their forecast last April for a scorching summer, saying the media hyped it up. on my desk is a picture of my boys, buy my screen saver is all the pictures of the family

My desktop picture is of my boys as well.

My eldest who is six has a scruffy cat who he takes everywhere with him and had him since he was 2 and was bought in Menorca. it has been on every holiday since then and looks all scrawny and slightly pathetic as half the stuffing has gone due to countless encounters in the washing machine.

We now have got one for our youngest which is quite new and currently clean, I hope he takes after his brother and takes him everywhere and in years to come is as scruffy as my eldests.

Will someone please turn on the sun...? this water lark has been coming down since the middle of the night and its getting boring now..

Lovely blog CLP.. made me think (thats what that low buzzing noise is that you could all hear!).

I dont say I Love You often enough to anyone. In fact, and this is prob NOT the place to confess this(!) but i have never told the GM..nor him me. Now we both know we love each other to bits but have just never said the words. On my part its only cos im a stubborn cow and wont say it first..and i suspect he is the same..both flaming Virgos!Wee been together 2 and a half years and its never really bothered me to be honest cos i know how he feels..it is shown in other ways, and he KNOwS I love him loads, but this has made me think and i am going to tell him the minute he walks through the door tonight.

On the other hand..at the end of any get together/phone call with my adorable 4yr old nephew we always finish with `loves ya`..always have and hopefully always will.

Thunder I think I have been married too long - my first reaction would be what brought that on. Actually to be honest that would be my second - the first would be to faint with shock!!!

Hi everyone: very interesting with the "I love you" situation! I said it first to MrS, probably about 6 months after we started dating. Of course, he did not say he loved me too, which left me a gibbering wreck! He did say it, like two days later, but I was still very hurt.

I now realise that due to the fact I was so young then (18) I didn't have a clue what love really is. It has taken me years and years to work it out. I love him more now than ever before - I used to think that was utter rubbish - but it is true. I know that this is his one and only life, and he's shared it with me. I hope he thinks it was worth it!

Love shows itself in so many different ways and whatever works for you, is ok. But being the person I am, I just have to actually say the words!!

But bless Mrs T.. i know a few woman like that..the next thing out their mouths is always.."why, what`ve you done?!". You guys cant always win can you bless your hearts!

No sun here in Liverpool, we shall agree to disagree on gods own county.

we had a really bad rainstorm at lunch time and so much so that Liverpool city centre was very quiet as the wise ones decided to stay indoors in their warm, dry offices.
