Dentists !!! well you either like them or you don't .as a child I had a bad experience at the school dentists and never went for years .

Then in the end when I couldn't bear the pain any longer I had no choice but to go .Never looked back from that day and vowed that my children would have the same expreience that I'd had .

When I moved house I had to change my dentist ,and he was fresh out of school so to speak ,young ,dark and hadsome .And he's also a fantastic Dentist that I have no quarms about going to see ,and good at his job .

Its another bright and sunny day here, only -2, so fairly tropical, to what some of you are getting.

It is turning very black over the Quantocks though, so it looks like changeable weather is on its way.

I've just been chatting with my GD who is at Disneyland Paris until 10 tonight, she sounded half perished. They dont ever grow up do they, mind you I am just as bad and have to go on all the rides when I am there, depsite all the warning signs advising that I shouldn't!

I've just come back from the weekly dump run, you wouldnt believe the state of some of the stuff that people take there. At least I would have cleaned my cooker before dumping it. LOL!

I expect that some of the stuff may have come from house clearances, so just had to be stripped out. Who knows!

Great excitement in the sky earlier on. We have a resident pair of Buzzards that fly over the field in front of the house, but they were joined by a red kite and all hell let loose. Its my first ever sighting of one over here, I know there are lots over in Wales.

Well, time to light the fire, pop the oven on and give a nice joint of Sirloin a quick roasting.

Got a feeling this may be a long one!

CLP thanks for the blog on a Sunday. I have had a busy time at the dentist over the last couple of months following an abscess. Last trip should be on Monday! Whoop, Whoop! ;-)

I have spent the morning cuddling George! I think I am cut out to be a Grumps. He makes me smile and he does not even talk yet!

Dentist is imminent for me too, though I'm not sure about dentists as a whole really, all that popping tools in your mouth and then charging you 拢50 just for a check up...
Quietish but interesting weekend. Cricket watched at strange times of the night, won 拢80 on lottery, painted a pig with my son this morning (piggy bank that is!), played games yesterday, it was -9 here last night, England get 309-1! and signed my son's cast (he broke his wrist this week doing what 8 year olds do - bounce around alot -, which is brightr orange - cool!

Afternoon CLP and the bloggers from a snowy Edinburgh!

Well, I braved life and limb on Edinburgh's roads this morning to get to work, even coming close to sliding through a red traffic light at a junction on the Royal Mile. Spent the morning shivering at work in the snow until the decision was made to close and so we got an unexpected afternoon off. Hurrah! No more snow so far but it is forecast for tonight and the next days so I'm going to leave the car at home and bus it to work in the morning.

Hope everyone has had a good day. Glad you survived the dentist CLP, personally I've never had a fear of them, though having a wisdom tooth removed earlier in the year was a tad unpleasant

from the liverpool's Echo Arena,it's going to be called "Famous and Fearless".
It's going to be on channel 4.

I have a REALLY gorgeous, hunky dentist. He's married, alas. Fun though. He refuses to treat me until I've told him a joke. Most of mine are appalling - it's a wonder I've got any teeth left.

I must be in the same zone as girlracer - perishing here, but none of the white stuff. Jasper-dog is starting to have a strop of Saunders-proportions because he LOVES the snow. Think he can smell it in the air and wonders why it's not here yet...

No word from Deevs - must be having a REALLY good weekend, hehe ;-)

Happy birthday to Mini MTF - I went to Eurodisney when I was 19. A load of me and my friends - and nearly ALL of us blubbed when it was time to leave. Dear, oh, dear.

When's the perfect time to visit the dentist? Two-thirty. (tooth-hurty... geddit?) - that's one I keep to myself when in the hunky dentist's chair....

Well, we've Harry Pottered and eated with friends and freezeed on the way home!!

Actually don't think it's as cold now as it was earlier but am a bit worried that means snow is more likely!

Put some water out for the birds earlier and it had frozen in an hour

Nice to see a fresh blog today

Am lucky with our dentist, lost a really nice one recently but got another who's just as good so no problem

Now all snuggled up and chilled out in a cosy sort of way!

I might take up a job as a Sweep I think. When we first moved here, we paid our sweep a tenner.

This year, it was 35 pounds! (ten minutes with a hoover!) ..and had the cheek to tell me it didn't really need doing Grrr!

We are in the fortunate situation to collect driftwood from the beach which I call 3 times warming wood.

You get warm collecting it, then you get warm again sawing it up, then you finally get warm burning it.

Morning all

Very very cold and a crunchy hard frost on the ground but no snow here in Cannockshire. Although Mr BeeBeeCee Weather is forecasting heavy snowfall for this postcode area tomorrow, which may scupper my college attendance tomorrow night somewhat.

Needless to say I walked to work this morning because I am a big girly wimp who doesn't like driving in the ice.

Weekend was fun. As Nic mentioned yesterday afternoon, his lad has been in the wars this week and subsequently has his wrist in plaster as a result. Dufus! Will it slow him down .... errrrrrrrrm, nope! I pooped out on Saturday afternoon and when I got home I'd hardly stepped thru the front door to be informed that "we have activities in the house today" - he'd set up various games and quizzes for Nic and I to do, and a treasure hunt of plastic ducks, bless him! The quiz was hilarious - "how old are horses" - meaning when was the species of Horse firse recorded. Fine, except that we had to google half the answers and the 8 year old quiz master didn't know them!

I'm dog tired today. Mainly due to the England cricket team and the stupid time differences between here and Brisbane. I think I got about 4 hours sleep in the end last night, so forgive any typos or silliness I may throw your way as the day unfolds.

For now - I have Leases to copy type and format. Just what you need to keep you alert and awake ..........
