Oh to be alive . . .

Chris Evans | 15:23 UK time, Monday, 26 March 2012

on such a joyous day. Truly magnificent with a fresh wind here in London just to keep you on your toes, should you begin to get a bit too loved up with Mr Sun. I've been writing all morning and now have an hour of me and grass time in the park before Tash turns up for our Bond Quiz this evening.

For those who missed it this morning, CarFest tickets go on sale at 8 am, Wednesday 18th of April. And the website goes live this Friday. It's already a great year. Cheers!

Peace and Love

Hiya Chris: yes, indeed, what a beautiful day it is today - it is just a joy when the weather is this lovely. Hope and Tash enjoy the Quiz!

Hi everyone else: Well, I am all over the place with losing that hour yesterday! I have no idea why it affects me so much, but it does. I just could not get up this morning, it was a real struggle. Think I will be in my jammies by 7pm tonight!

Annie: nice to see you back, glad to see you had a good trip. I understand exactly what you mean about that wee cry about your brother. xx

Maddy: I will have to iplayer that programme! Thank you for the link to the lovely Osmonds - I was so in love with Jay - what about those awful green trousers!

Sezza: checked out Mr Mark Harmon/Gibbs. I never watch that programme, but I do think Mark is gorgeous ... and Gibbs is too!

Nothing much to report from me today, but just wanted to come on and say hi.

Good grief, just looked at the clock - another 1.5 hours to go ... aarrrggh!

Are you sure you're not here Debs? hee hee!

Chris, you are right, it is a beautiful day!

I've had a potter in the garden and now need to do a quick taxi run for a boy!

CG, you've just reminded me - must ring the vet!

For all the puppy people here, I was just wondering what the most useful thing/piece of advice you've had for your little four legged friend and what is the least useful?

Before I start my little shopping spree!

ps Chris, what are you writing? Will we have something new for you to sign in October? ;-)

Chrissie, you snuck in there! Mr Harmon is quite easy on the eye isn't he! Might have to go look at some more pics to remind myself!

    Hiya Chris

Yes, it is truly magnificent here too. Good luck to you and Natasha for the Bond quiz - I hope you have Vassos for your phone a friend!

This morning I held off leaving home waiting for the CarFest news to the point where I couldn't wait any longer and what happens? Yeah you only go and make the announcement in the time it took me to get from my flat to the car. I read your tweet at lunchtime so I will let you off! ;o) xx

    Hiya Ali xx

Cheryl - I hope my light tip helps xx

MC - I'm doing fine thanks, think the sunshine and looking forward to the lighter nights has something to do with it. Although I am a bit like Chrissie it takes me a while to get used to the hour change I'm usually just getting used to it when it's time to change back ;o)

Sezza - oh yes Mr Harmon is very easy on the eye!

Love the idea of Randall and Gibbs.

    Have a good evening folks!

    Mary xx

Sezza - without a doubt, the very best thing I have ever spent any money on ever, even better than shiny shoes and handbags, better than new hair-dos and nights out with my beloved ...... a training crate!

Randall has got so much energy it's good to be able to "contain" him in his crate for quiet time so I can get on with doing some work, housework etc. It also means the house remains intact when we have to leave him on his own.

That, and lots and lots and lots of poo bags!

    Hope that helps!

Henry - good luck at the vets son! If it hurts, please don't tell Randall as he's back there on Saturday morning for jabs Mk II and kennel cough.

Chrissie - getting up in the dark this morning was a shock to the system, as was realising I'd not changed the clock in my car when I went out at 9.05 only to think it was 8.05. Doh!

Debs - you sooooooooooooooooooooo are here!! lol xx

Well, I'm a bit miffed at the mo. My study/office overlooks the Close so when an ice cream van drove in and turned left (away from our house) I thought, hmmmm, I might treat myself when he comes up here. So, he stopped right down the other end of the Close, sold some goodies, then turned round .... I got quite excited, and then he turned back towards the main road and off! Didn't want an ice cream anyway. Much! :-(

I've had a fab day: since getting back from my networking I've got a project to do, and quoted for 3 others.

Chris, Tash .... any room for an ickle Diva on that grass. Although I know diddlysquitsquat about James Bond!

    Muchos amore,

    Hello Chris & Everyone.

Another lovely sunny day here in Wirral and there's nothing like some grass time in the park Chris which is something we can all enjoy young or old. I have a feeling that the Carfest website is going to be busy busy busy.

No hot water or heating here today! Thank goodness it's gone when the weather turned warm. Actually I can still get hot water from the electric so all OK as long as it doesn't turn cold outside before the man arrives. Abit ironic as today I've paid my large winter gas bill!

PS Chrissie-glad you liked the link, the Osmonds coloured trousers made me laugh too :)

Deevs, how very dare you - I'm so not here!

Sezza, I would agree with Deevs about the crate, I didnt with my two, my friend did with hers and its her godsend. I cant take my dears to somewhere unfamiliar and leave them as I know tia will wee, but if they would be in a crate that would not happen. Too cruel to put them in one now and I've worked around it....

anyway, now I'm really not here, got some pots to pot and then its staple mon night tea, bacon leeks and pasta in a cheesy sauce, mmmmm

See you on the morrow lovely lot

    Evening each

First cut of the grass this afternoon after driving around Fife for work. Don't you just love the sun?

Now I don't want to be a Jonah but remember last year? Gorgeous weather in April, I planted my little fuschias, then the cold weather returned and they froze almost to death. So the lesson is - don't plant anything yet.

Chris, just a little criticism, I love the 7.30 oldies slot and this mornings Magic Moments was a delight, but pleeeeeeese dont talk through it, surely the music is more important than the dedications, or is that just me?

    Evening all,

Annie, you are so right .... this time last year , Mr MC was recuperating after his op, and then went back to work looking like he had had two months off in the Caribbean .
We were sat out yesterday, and have our "go faster " stripes across our noses today !
It all seems a bit strange as the leaves are not back on the trees yet.

have a nice evening all .

Oh if poss , could someone introduce me to CG please?

Many thanks and have a nice evening.,

    Good morning all,

Another beautiful day here today by the look of things, a bit hazy but I'm sure that will clear soon.

Turning 45 means having my HGV Medical, which I had last night, and passed with flying colours, he said my blood pressure was about as ideal as you can get, which is good as both my Mum and Dad have got high blood pressure, and everything else was good - thankfully. I don't drive HGV's any more but I don't want to give up my license as "you never know".

Hope you all have a good day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNIE!!! Hope you have a lovely day that doesnt involve driving over THAT bridge.

right loads to do today, off to luton airport this afternoon for an early flight to Budapest tomorrow for our Euro wide conference. Sounds great dont it, however it really will be plane taxi conference taxi plane back late friday night. There is no time for looking around which is such a shame but I'm sure a few hungarian beverages will be consumed in the bar! Right now what is the hungarian for chardonnay....

Happy Tuesday everyone, I'll see you back on Saturday!

    Morning blog lovelies!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNIE. I'm hoping there will be a cheeky glass of Merrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrlot tonight to celebrate ....?

Gail - HGV driving?!?! OMG I can just about maneouver (sp??) my Micra. Good on you - and don't take any notice when they say "those chocolate bars what truckers eat" aren't for girls! (nobody said you had to be driving to eat one either ...!) ;-)

Debs - "enjoy" Budapest. At least you'll be able to explore Luton tonight ...... or maybe not!

I'll do the intros on t'other side if nobody beat me to it last night.

Loli - I have to confess, I'm not listening to CLP at the mo as there's live cricket from Sri Lanka on when we get up in the mornings. Starting the day with Graeme Swann is just too kind on the eye. Hmmmmm ......

So, today. A bit of work, some mid morning yoga, a bit more work, a visit to a potential client this afternoon, try and book in at the barnet fixers (unless the hedge look is back in fashion?) and some domestic faffing too - the laundry won't do itself. Oh, and of course playing with that mad mutt of ours.

Looks like it's going to be another gloriouss day here on planet earth!

Debs - Budapest .......I was there at a conference a couple of years ago, amazing place. One night we were taken out to a ranch to watch the Lippizzana's (sp?) it was fantastic watching those magnificent horses. The city is well worth exploring too - especially a visit to one of the hot springs. I'm envious! Have a wonderful time.

All requestd for facecloth have been answered (I think - will check again later)

Loved the idea of solicitors - Randall, Gibbs & Henry........kinda has a ring to it :-)

OK - work to do, busy, busy ........new project to research & websites to explore...

    Hi everyone:

And a very Happy Birthday to our lovely Annie! Hope you have a great day. xx

Dozer: excellent news about your medical. I must say, whenever I have met you, you actually radiate good health, you really do. And very wise to keep the license - clever girl for achieving that.

Debs: hope the conference goes well. I know you are super-busy, but I bet you are loving it!

Bids: love the idea for the firm of solicitors. You must be the person to answer the phone: "Randall, Gibbs and Henry, Bridget speaking"!

eb: I heard you mention this morning. When Chris said the destination, I thought: that just has to be eb!

Hope everyone is well this gorgeous day. I think I may have been a little ambitious in wearing a t-shirt to work, but I have not discarded my coat, just yet! As Annie said, remember last year ...!

    Have a good Tuesday, all.

Happy Birthday Annie I hope you have a wonderfully gloriously perfect day.

    Morning all

Deevs can you do me the honour of introducing me to CG on Face cloth please so I can see the new arrival too.

Dozer HGV licence get you girlie my ole mum did a sponsored drive for the charity to helped her with dad when he was first injured in a car accident and she loved driving the HGV not bad for a 68 year old. Got to be honest would love to have a go myself.

Deb enjoy your fleeting visit to Budapest even if you dont see much of it you have still been there.

Eb hope everything goes well with the big move.

Morning Bids it is a fine and dandy sunny day out there today

Can I just check does it only cover chocolate this eat as much as you like to lose weight as my breakfast this morning has consisted of banana and apple, then a stonking great toffee and fudge muffin, well there is a birthday in the house and it would be rude not to indulge when a colleague has gone to the effort of doing some early morning cake shopping.

Lunch is greek today, feta, olives, salad, taramosalata and tzaiki with pitta's so I think I can carry the muffin calories today.

    Cheerio for now

Hi Chris...you mentioned about having a pavillion full of british small business type people, but you only listed foodie items I wonder if there will be room for other small british made businesses like me that make cards, jewellery and childrens clothing?
