Blog live from Yorkshire...

Chris Evans | 05:14 UK time, Tuesday, 24 April 2012

Looks like CarFest North is a goer. I will have more details in the next few days. Just looked at one site, off to another option as I type. All very exciting, meeting lots of nice and enthusiastic people along the way. Very heartwarming. Wellies came in handy. Onwards my friends - always.

Peace and Love

Good morning CLP and everyone else,

Sounds very exciting, I'm sure it will be a great success (sp).

Beautiful morning here, hopefully it will stay this way.

Going to see a friend's new horse this evening and then out for pub grub and of course some wine! with 2 friends, so that should be good.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Good Morning Chris,

Not sure as now at work if you have announced where Car Fest North will be, either Yorkshire or Tatton. Well if it is on the 28th-30th Sept at Tatton, , can we borrow the tractor and trailer for our wedding party?

Getting Married to the beautiful Helga Taylor at 4pm on Friday at Tatton Park then reception in the Village afterward. Only a small wedding but it will be a beautiful day, and as we are both country people at heart the Tractor would be a fine wedding vehicle.

    All the best
    Richard

    Morning all!

Chris, your wellies must be getting a lot of use at the moment! And your organising powers too! What a lot you have got on! Is the next target to get everythig in place before Baby-Day!! Hope someone's told Baby not to be too early!

Cath, I have Carfest in my sights for next year too! Here's hoping!

Richard and Helga - Congratulations on the wedding - sounds lovely!

Bids, If you have any sun spare, we could use it! I know we need rain in the east but do we have to have it all in one go? Gibbs is not impressed and stand at the back door as if to say Do I have to go out there?! Although he has discovered that under the wettest shrub in the garden there are the remains of the apples that fell off the tree last year! yum!!!

GG, what a lovely day you have planned! Enjoy yourself!

Right, best look busy i suppose! I have an outside job to do that I am putting off until the deluge passes!

    Sezza xx

    Morning all.

Sezza, I've got remains of apples under one of my trees too. Keep your eye out that Gibbs isn't getting giddy, hic! They smell quite potent!!

Its a lovely day here on the West Somerset coast, well it is at the moment, lets see what it does when I start pegging washing on the line.....

    Happy days :)

    Morning everyone

Richard - welcome to the blog, do stick around, and many congratulatons to you and Helga for the forthcoming nuptials!

Haha Sal - loving the though tof Gibbs getting giddy on scrumpy. Reminds me of when I was little and mum and dad had their pub. We had a miniature poodle and he got "tiddly" one day when he somehow managed to drink from one of the "slops" trays. Luckily he never developed a taste for lager ......

I'm feeling a bit better today. Let's just say St George's Day lost its spark for me some 7 years ago on a hillside at a Spanish crematorium.

I've had a busy morning thus far: I was out with that "Rascall" Randall (thanks Bids, I love that description!) just a fter 7am, then at ELH for Nic's mum by half eight, then round her house meeting stairlift man #2, delivering her shopping and collecting her laundry. Now back home, at desk, just saying Hi to you lot before getting my head down with some proof reading, social media posting, email management and blog writing for clients. Yes, things are going well, thankfully!

Also smiling at the big vase of flowers in the kitchen that my lovely Nic brought home with him last night. :-))

Right, best I make a start or else it'll be time to cook tea before I know it - and it's pub quiz night tonight!

    Laters amigos.

    Muchos amore.

Hi everyone - nice to see some lovely chat on the blog.

Crumpy: glad you had a prolonged birthday - personally, I think birthdays should last a week, at least! I only took down my Mother's Day card at the weekend - I didn't want to part with it!

Cheryl: hope you are feeling a wee bit better. Remember what Mary said about your inner light. xx

PJ: I bet your Mum was glad you popped in to see her. Hope she gets well soon.

Debs: loving the idea that your appearance on the video was when you were at the bar!

Rosie: you must be so excited about London - I am sure it will be great.

Susan: hiya, and thank you. xx

Annie: Anstruther fish & chips is on my list for when (if?) the good weather returns!

GG: have a lovely evening - sometimes it's great to go out on a Tuesday!

BCR: wouldn't it be great if Chris would lend you the tractor ... try every avenue!

Bids: glad you enjoyed your evening. It's good to have a busy social life!

Cathmel: hiya - nice to see you.

    Sezza: bless wee Gibbs!

Sal: I always smile when you talk about pegging out your washing. xx

Hope I haven't missed anyone - it's always a bit dodgy doing a big list!

Last, but not least - how wonderful that Mr Evans organising the northern CarFest. How lucky we are to have him - I hope he does the Breakfast Show for another 10 years!

Nothing much to report from me, just wanted to say hi to everyone!

    C xx

afternoon peeps - lunchtime pop-in to say hi.
Confession time - I brought a very healthy salad for lunch but forgot the fork! so 'healthy' is still in my bag and I have eaten the last two pieces of b'day cake I brought in, instead. Still I have used the stairs 4 times today instead of the lift (2 floors)

Hi all - can't possibly be as wonderful as Chrissie and name you all but do want to say welcome to BCR (we tend to look at your chosen blog name and then shorten it!) and offer congrats on the nuptuals. Please stay around, we haven't had a blog wedding since our Northern Ireland correspondent tied the knot.

back to the grind, so ttfn, Crumpy xx

    Hello CE & Everyone.

A sunny day here on the Wirral peninsula.

Chris-what you should have bought is a police helicopter to enable you to find the CarFest site up north.

I'm with you on the wood is good talk this morning. I feel good when surrounded by wood but tomorrow they are coming here to take out my lovely wooden windows and replace them with pvc. I fear that this might affect my whole outlook on life. Also my two little cats will not be at all happy having to sit on pvc.

Welcome BCR and yes that tractor would be ideal for your wedding party. Tatton is a lovely place.
