This week on EastEnders: One funeral and an engagement
It wasÌýthe day of the funeral...
.. And RoxyÌýdecided to make a personalÌýtribute to Michael Jackson by dressing up in her finest Smooth Criminal get-up. Err... it's what Archie would have wanted. Peggy, on the other hand,Ìýwas certain that Archie would have wantedÌýaÌýgood spread of sausage rolls andÌýsandwiches for the mourners and was to be found knee-deep in margarine and clingfilm all morning.ÌýStacey didn't care what Archie wanted, and spat on his grave.ÌýFortunately, Marsden didn't notice... She did however, give Peggy a grilling at his graveside, but Peggy managed to convince her of her innocence... before obliquely implicating herself in an uncharacteristic moment of candour with Janine. Meanwhile, Ronnie would have danced on Archie's grave if they could have filled it in sooner. Instead, she had the time of her life at the Vic later on. She could at least pretend...

Spare a thought for poor old Pat -Ìýbedridden, at death's door and with no means of escape from Janine's endless self-pitying monologues. And from here on, condemned to the care of Florence Nightinjanine, the person who brought on her heart attack in the first place. And while we're on this subjectÌý- what exactly has happened to Janine this week? Reminiscing with Ricky about the past? Pledging to nurse Pat back to health? Going to the police station to plead Ian's innocence? Seriously Janine, go empty out an orphan fund box or something. You're scaring us.
Bradley and Stacey engaged... again!
Just as we were pouring a glass of bubbly to toast honest Brad and his dodgy dad'sÌýnew business -Ìýalong comes another reason to celebrate.ÌýFirst of all, he tried burying it in a runny egg. Close... but not quite right.ÌýFinally he thought about the mostÌýluxurious and romantic location in which he could pop the question.ÌýA prefabricated used-car lot office. Perfect. Stacey was obviously impressed asÌýwithin minutes they were in flagrante, withÌýMax knocking on the door wondering what all the ruckus was about. Meanwhile, has anyone noticed how Stacey's hair colour is moving ever closer to Bradders'? If that isn't a sign that this is real love, I don't know what is...Ìý

I don't know, but I think that Janine discovered something and that something might very well have something to do with Pat's visit to New-Zealand and the phonecalls. Maybe there is a familysecret? Pat was trying to talk to Janine and that was not about Archies murder and framing Ian.
Then again Pat's heartattack might have triggered something in Janine's feelings and brought out the good side of her. Hence the reminiscing with Ricky of the past? Janine has a bad caracter, a female edition of Nick Cotton you might say. But maybe, maybe, unlike Nick Cotton there is a good side of her........
