probably not gonna happen, but you never know...I have a gut feeling that Jack Branning did it. First of all he warned Archie after he was outed as having the affair with Sam, then there was the business where Ronnie lost the baby and he was seen lying there in the hospital bed with her just contemplating whilst she slept. Then the day Archie was murdered he was seen putting what looked like a pistol away in a drawer. More recently, he has been acting like the 'old tricks die hard' copper to Marsden - even offering help with local information - could that all just be a front? He's a clever fella that's for sure. Perhaps the twist is that Jack did for Archie but will let someone else go down for it...

why did roxy fire tracey and i have a feeling it was janine butcher no one likes janine thats why archie kicked janine out of the puband it is cool that one of the mitchells got the pub else there be bad things happen in eastenders that means peggy and the rest of the mitchells would of gone as well becuse they always will like the pub the pub has been with the mitchells sees 1996 they will always like that pub and they have done lots of things in the pub

im positive she left the vic without the divorce papers (she went to take them from the bar but then archie said he wanted 1 more night with her) yet when she got to dot's she had them in her pocket - so did she go back?

I think it's SO obvious that it's Glenda... drag her in as new character... bring Danny along with her... get Danny into Mitchell clan... he stays... it's discovered Glenda killed Archie... now Danny can stay with Mitchell clan, as mother in jail.

i feel that jack did it just because of all the stuff going on with the sisters and archie. it is a great cover for it all for his past connections and his somewhat shady way of coming onto the scene. if not jack then he had some help.

Its Ryan , if you notice the episode Ronnie was pushed by Archie when she was pregnant and lost the baby and Roxy told everyone shes pregnant and Ryans face behind the bar was a picture because he thought it might of been his child , it might have been Owens or Ryans baby, she lost the baby and Ryan was upset , by the way Archie treated Janine also and hes been guilt ridden since and wont sleep with Janine and also he told Janine Archie was dead before other people even knew . my money is on Ryan clues are there very subtle ones

I think Phil was probably telling the truth about how the blood got on his shirt, and I don't think it was Bradley. Pat is acting a bit strange, wanting to leave the country and all that, and the stress of it could have caused her illness. Plus, she has the perfect alibi as everyone thought she was in New Zealand on Christmas Day. But at the moment I'm thinking it's either Jack or Stacey.

Cant have been Pat as she was abroad for xmas with her sons. I defo agree tht it Ryan as he has quite a few forgetable motives and he is the dark horse whom is always in the background when ever an even with Archie happened.
As for Bradders, his words were 'yu go near stacey again and I'll kill you!' Since Archie didnt go near stacey after that, Bradley had no reason to kill. Plus he way too obvious. Same with Jack and Sam.
Also, I dont think they would write Peggy out by going to prison so i dought it is her.

I think that Ben killed Archie as when Archie was killed he was on his knees so been was the right hight i dont think ben wanted to kill Archie he just went back to the pub to get the shirt he got his dad and thats how blood got on the shirt .I also think phil might know about ben killing Archie

I know that jack killed Archie for Ronnie 'cos he loves her and thought that him and Ronnie would get back together and look after the baby.

He's a cunning & dodgy character that one..plus he's been acting rather strangely lately..But then again it could be anyone!aaaargh the suspense is killing me...oh well,my money is on Jack any day!

I think it was Roxy. With two motives: firstly, to avenge Ronnie, who clearly was the biggest victim of Archie's "evil" and secondly, because she knew that she was the only person who was consistently in Archie's favour- and that she would clearly stand to get everything of any worth on the will.

So this is how it would unfold: somehow, Ronnie would discover the truth, probably through Roxy accidently dropping herself in it. Not wanting Roxy to go down for murder, Ronnie hatches the plan to frame either Glenda, or the son Danny. They successfully get one of those two adequetly framed so that they go to prison, meaning that the viewers get an interesting solution to the murder, but don't need to see Roxy get arrested. Too many of the people with motives are too important as characters to go to prison, so this would seem the perfect way to reveal it, without having to lose one of them.

I think it was Den that did it - he could have come back as a ghost as my mate says ghosts can pick stuff up.

the other person who is leaving is Dr Al he could be the killer most unsuspected and he is going to move to cornwall to get away. and if he can persuade roxy to go with him he will have access to her money. i say DR AL

i personally think it was Ryan! it cant of been Bradley or Peggy or any other too obvious character! plus, bradley only found out about archie being the father to staceys baby the night before or something so i think it would be far too obvious putting them as the killer!!! it could also be roxy as she isnt being suspected!!!

I'm shocked at the fact that phil is not on the list because i think he is the number one suspect! I don't think it was Bradley, he might have done something to hurt Archie but i don't think he killed him! It could have be Janice to get revenge for throwing her out of the pub and because she thought she was in the will to get the pub. I don't know about Jack because he could have done it; but i don't think he would be helping the police as much if he had of done it! Althrough if i had to put a bet on anyone; my money would be on Phil Mitchell !!!

I think it's going to be someone nobody has even thought of. The main suspects are to obvious at the moment. However, my money was on Ben, and he's up there with the top five.

i think the murderer is infact sean roxys ex hubbie because he never did die in the lake and he knew what archie was like if not the the cast and crew should get him back in he was eye candy lol

Well going by the papers the main people are Bradly - Cause he is leaving Peggy- Cause she is leaving Grant - Because he is back at xmas but was never seen. So thats my three but a less obvious one has to be Sean he has all the right motives with him messing with his relationship to Roxie and he may know about Stacey. Ben is to young for jail and we are told they get locked up so I dnt think its him either

Its so Roxy, i put my last dollar on it, she been acting so guity & she now has everything, i hope it is so they can send her to jail & throw away the keys & never to walk in Alert Square again as she the worse actor in the world, totally dreadful.

Personally, I think it was Sean !! I think he come back to see baby Amy on her 1st Christmas and over heard Bradley arguing with Archie about raping Stacey.

Personally I think it was Sam, as she hasn't been in Eastenders for a very long time, however she did make a brief appearance before Archie's death. She was also released on bail.

I think it was Sam. She wronged her family by running away, and when she came back she could see the trouble Archie had caused the Mitchells, and to win back the support of her family "did the deed".

Phil is too obvious to have done it in my opinion, and is too big a character to have a murder over his head. Peggy is all mouth and no balls, I don't think she did it. That also applies to Janine, who is a trouble maker but not a killer.

Bradley is too meek, of that couple I would suggest that Stacey was the one more likely to kill him after what Archie did to her.

I can't rule out Jack, but this week he was pressing Ronnie into confessing, which aren't the actions of a killer.

Ronnie and Roxy are out IMO also, Roxy loved her Dad even through his evilness, and as it was shown after the killing, Ronnie still loved her dad deep down also.

Glenda? No. Too much back history. Sean Slater though, that's an interesting one, I hadn't even considered a character that hasn't been in the show for a while...

My money is still on Sam.

So many clues point towards Becca, so I'm really flabbergasted she's not in the list of suspects for prediction.

Which conversely, to my mind at least, means that BECCA is definitely the murderer.

I think it's Ryan.He really likes Janine and was jelous of her and Archies relationship,also he's a bit of a loose cannon. Not one of the most obvious suspects but plausable.

i think it could either be grant or sean after reading the other comments but i personly think it was Grant because peggy has been contacting him and telling him about Archie and the Vic

Hmm, this is a tricky one, but I thnik they may want to go for the least obvious in this one, so i'm guessing it was bradley; also there saying bradley is gonig to leave eastenders and i think his 'dramatic ending' might just be a life sentence or suicide or to go on the run!

I think it was Lucas. Archie could have seen Lucas burying Owen under that tree and was blackmailing him. He could have been waiting in the vic for Lucas to give him more cash when Archie got more than he bargained for. I think I should write for Eastenders with ideas like these

I think anyone of them could have done it they all have a motive i would love it to be someone unexpected as this would create shock for all the audience watching at home. I can't wait till friday to find out

ARCHIE WAS ON HIS KNEES AS THE QUEEN VIC STATUE HIT HIM.
HECAUSE OF THIS PEOPLE SUSPECT A SHORT PERSON SUCH AS BEN OR PEGGY COULD HAVE DONE IT . ALTHOUGH JANINE PULLED A CARD FROM UNDER THE STATUE IN EXCITEMENT AND THE STATUE MAY HAVE BEEN UNSTEADY ON EDGE OF THE BAR.
BEING HIGHLY INTOXICATED ARCHIE MAY HAVE NUGED THE BAR AND THE QUEEN VIC WOULD HAVE FELLON HIS HEAD,

Bradley is too obvious me thinks. Has to be someone not in the 'frame' so obviously. Hence my guess would be Phil. He let his mum down once before, so may not want to let her down again to win her favour?

The other option would be Jack as he's the least obvious of all having not been on anyone's suspicious mind or interviewed as yet. A bent cop? Revenge for his beloved Ronnie & child killed by Archie? Hmmmm

you know, producers want an unexpected & exciting end, so rather than it being one guilty person, could it even be a select few of his enemies all in it together, planned & fixed evidence so each has an alibi & marsden has no proof to convict any of them?....maybe with Jack ass leader with his police & forensic knowledge...an option to consider.

I think it could of been Grant because he's not mentioned much or Peggy or Bradley as they are leaving 'enders this year. But I have a strange feeling it was Roxy as she's always been the goody-goody girl when anything has happened to her dad. She also got all the money for the Vic and she did have an argument with Archie a few weeks before he was murdered. She always knew how he was towards Ronnie and Peggy and maybe, just maybe she did it.

well i think its ryan, in the one tonight, when the police came in, he was all jumpy and stuff and he didnt want janine to get taken to the police station. i dont think it will be bradley because he is acting too suspicious.

It is so blatantly going to be Stacey. I reckon she thought Archie tried to beat him up on Xmas Day when she saw him coming out the vic, and so decided once and for all he should be stopped.

I reckon Bradley will continue to be depressed about the whole situation, and then in his darkest hour, Stacey will admit to him that in fact she was the killer, and she planted the ring in Janine's flat.

I bet for Ben. He has a motif. That's why Phil clothes covered by blood.

Definately Pat!! I'll win £1000 at the bookies if I'm right! She's up to something. Cool, calm & capable of killing Archie. Pat hated him & I think she did it because he hurt Janine, Janine's like a daughter to Pat & she loves her a lot despite everything, plus he hurt her best mate Peggy & family. Pat seemed like she was trying to say something to Janine just before she had a heart attack & she's been laying low since. Sneaky phonecalls were made by Pat & the whole moving to New Zealand thing makes me think she planned to do a runner. Every time Archie's mentioned, they either cut to a Pat scene or zoom in on her. Pat's hardcore & would definately get away with it. I think Bradley will be arrested for it but Pat will not get caught 'til she decides.
