As much as I do quite like Peggy, she does make out its allways been her pub. no one elses. but Den had it way before her as shes been in it only '10?' years. And some of her lines are acted so poorly. Nether the less, she does make the square and god hope the Mitchells dont leave and get replaced by the return of the Ferraras!
I will say though Peggy's 'get outa my pub!' are legendary and she will be strongly missed :)

So will "Peggy's theme" be played over the credits like When Ethel died they had a song over the credits ? Or will it be ruined with the big red box thats says "programme coming up next"? Or will it just be like the Julia's theme just leading up to the credits?

I do hope she's not killed off.. would be great to see her come back at some point! Looking forward to this though!

I imagine Peggy's Theme will be the full theme. There is a full three-minute version of Julia's Theme that can replace the entire theme and not just the drum beats, but it's never used.

I'd have to dissagree with PILKY, Barbara is a fantastic actress,
I cant think of a single scene that Barbara has failed.

No, don't get me wrong, I like Peggy Shes a great character and the square wont be same without her but i have seen the odd line tht just bit outa place tht all. I will miss ya Peg! :D

Eastenders is the best tv programme ever

I am going 2 miss Barbara, she has been such a fab actress ;) So all I hav 2 say 2 her is - GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE!
Can't wait until the Xmas episode!I will really miss Lauren because she has always been fun 2 watch & I don't want them 2 replace her :( On the other hand though I can't wait till Tanyas back!!!

I've never liked the character and have never found ms windsor to be a particularly good actress and do think change is good, perhaps peggy could take janine with her.

well i have to say am gutted she going after 17 years. barbra windsor took over the role from jo warne in 1993 and she has turned her into an iconic charecter.good look babs with whatever u do next...the square wont be the same without you!!!!

Peggy will definatly bemissed by me. She has been a really great actress and the show won't be quite as good with out her. She always bought a lot of excitement to the show. Is it possible for her to return??? Maybe she could not actually die but everyone thinks she is dead and phil couldkidnap her and hide her from everyone else and then on her funeral he could fill the coffin with rocks or something and then peggy could escape or someone could find her and then phil realises he has been stupid and grant flies back over or something and then they have a big family dinner!!!!! Will def miss you peggy you are a super actress barbara your super!!!

OK, so Barbara Windsor is leaving Eastenders after 10 years. Wendy Richard was in it for so much longer and I don't remember all this fuss. Eastenders is more than one person. Yes, she has had some good story lines but then so have others.
