We *heart* Dot and Jim

Wow! Struggling Dot finally crumbles and realises she can no longer look after Jim.

It's already been a tense week as we've seen a worn out Dot over-working herself; trying to juggle work at the launderette, caring for Jim and managing with her bad shoulder.

Dot and Jim

Ìý

It's just typical of Dot continuously refusing a helping hand -as we all know she's "not one to fuss" - but even she can't do everything.

The old fashion girl has always been about principles and following the rules regardless! So being there for Jim 'through thick and thin...in sickness and in health, until death do us apart', was the motto for her to stand by.

Deep down, confused and lonely, may not begin to describe how Dot is feeling. It certainly hasn't been an easy ride for Dot with Edward seeking her affections. Now,Ìýwhat will happen to their friendship?

Ps...you can't help but love the moment Dot watches her and Jim's wedding video *wipes tear of eye*. Emotional!

Show the love for Dot and Jim!

I'm going 2 feel incredibly sorry for Dot. She loves Jim with all her heart. Then there's Edward's liitle crush on her...

What can Dot do? Divorce Jim and find true happiness with her new gentleman caller? She deserves to live a normal happy life but Jim will be heartbroken, I hope the Ö÷²¥´óÐã take all this into account and produce this storyline in a heartful manner.

True but remember that Jim is leaving ee and if he dies (which I hope he doesn't) then Dot, after recovering from the grief, could eventually start a new life with Edward

I adore Dot & Jim! There are no two more brilliant actors anywhere on TV. I hope that John Bardon will soon be well enough to return to work on a more regular basis. He and June together are a treasure, and I'm sure it is a great thing for stroke survivors and their families to see him still working.

And to the commenter above who said that Jim is leaving EE: That is actually not true. That was a false report in the tabloids. He is not being written out.

now will people who claim that eastenders and soaps in general aren't brilliant, moving dramam but shut up. last nights episode was truly moving, and it didn't take a tram crash to make me cry. last night's episode is what eastenders does better than any other soap, true emotion.

I would think that the programme could, as it frequently does, suggest a helpline for elderly people in Dot's position. Surely in our ageing UK society there are far more senior citizens struggling to care for ailing elderly spouses than there are women whose babies have been snatched, girls who have been sexually assaulted by their mother's lover or even parents coming to terms because their child has Downs syndrome. And Dot's problem will be faced by more and more elderly people as the government fails to deliver on care for this group and local authorities are told to cut costs.

I Think Eastenders Is Better When Some One Dies Off Of It Instead Of JUst Leaving so I Think Jim Will Die First And Dot Will Die After It Will Mae It So Sweet! xxxxxx
