Hey, second to comment - whats going on?
Whitney and Fatboy story started well - I think this should keep going.
Kat preggers? Who's the daddy this time? This could be an xmas expose I suppose!
Michael and Janine will destroy each other - could be a good story but then again...
My favoirite one though has to be Jean. I really thing that a Jean/Ian get together might be fun, would freak out a lot of people but think of the crazy shenanigans that relationship could produce?
One storyline that isn't mentioned here is that of Heather and the new cotton boy. Really Easteneders scriptwriters - please give Heather some loved up fun and games with this guy - maybe even a wedding? A sister for little George? Please? Some Ahhhhh would be nice sometimes!
Oh and I nearly forgot Jodie, she should get together with a Moon boy - Darren deserves better.

    Looks like a good week.
I think that Tyler should be with Whitney as atleast we seem to know the real side of him - funny and happy. So it won't hopefully be another Lee or Rob problem.

Also i really want Jean to find someone as it is making her so depressed.

Its been Michael and Roxy, Michael and Ronnie, Michael and Vanessa, but what i never expected to see is Michael and Janine! lol! Not sure whats happening there!

Keep it up EastEnders! PS- Whats happening about Abi and Jay, they havent been on in ages! Also Lola?? :)

Why did Whitney react that way when she heard about the lap dancing club? She didn't mind the male stripper at Janine's hen night so what's the difference?!

  • Comment number 5.

glad that whitney stood up to that lee :-)

  • Comment number 6.

cool OMG that photo that micheal moon saw with the craig written on the back...craig is Craig Moon--Eddie's son--with tyler micheal and anthony all half brothers to him...which means that craig's mother must be another woman who eddie had a child with.. naughty eddie! here is the link to the characters of Eastenders and you can see the info on future characters and profiles like ''Craig Moon's'' wow lol..

Whitney: "A stripper, I suppose that's all she is to you in it? Does it ever occur to
you that that girl might actually have a name"
Tyler: "I didn't have you down as one of those militant feminists"
Lauren: "We'r not. We just don't like women being objectified"
Whitney: "Excuse me mate it's 2011 and actually women are equal to men these
    days"
YES WOMEN ARE EQUAL TO MEN, so why don't Whitney and Lauren say anything when the women are pouring over male strippers on hen nights?
Eastenders show male strippers at most of the hen nights but men going to strip joints is shown as bad??? Pat and Kat talk about booking/looking forward to seeing male strippers but nobody tells them "A stripper, I suppose that's all he is to you init? Does it ever occur to you that that guy might actually have a name" Nobody ever talks about these men being objectified.

Why does Eastenders continuously promote the sexist double standard that male strippers are ok but female strippers ,means that women are being objectified? I'm fed up with this sexism!

Fatboy is a nice guy but he was a muppet offering Whitney help when it's supposed to be girls v boys. Bet she wouldn't have done the same to him.
I'd love Lauren to find out that Whitney didn't really win but Tyler just let her - Lauren is serioiusly annoying. Typical of her to make a sexist generalisation about men at the end.

Wow Eastenders looks like a good week.Beacuse look at michael and janine the eveil vampires getting togehter.Wow Tyer moon the hot lover boy getting close to whitney i think those to can be togehter anyway i want them to be together hope it happens and look at kat getting pregant again she has tommy and maybe she might not cope with another baby and lee coming back he is threating whitney but at least she has mates that care for her tyler moon looked like he cared i love eastenders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello ofcourse! i think you have a really valid point there about double standards. i guess speaking for myself (and not the show), you're totally right, whitney absolutely does have doublestandards here - i think a lot of people do on this subject, both in the show and in the real world.

i guess i see the characters' reactions different to the subject, just as they would be in the real world. pat and kat do love a hen night stripper, but i imagine they wouldn't have whitney's attitude to men going to lap dancing clubs. in whitney's case, i think she's feeling very vulnerable at the moment - with her relationship history - of men mistreating her, demeaning her, taking advantage of her. the fact that tyler went to a strip club sounds warning bells for her i think. is he that type of man? that's what i read into it anyway. but you couldn't argue with your point that she's exhibiting double standards. i guess what i'm thinking is, that the show reflects real life, so this example of double standards is an example of the personal behaviour of these characters, rather than the show's attitude to them as a whole, if that makes sense? that's just my tuppenceworth anyway...!

As a actress, I watch eastenders and it is my DREAM to be on there. I wish lol- but I love the story lines and its something to look forward to during the week :D you go guys :D

  • Comment number 12.

@ insider_nickie - I get what you are saying. In your second paragraph, did you mean I could argue my point - you said I couldn't?
I did also think that perhaps Whitney's reaction both on Monday and Tuesday were because of her experiences. But what about Lauren? I would love it if Lauren spoke out against male strippers too. Would love it if they wrote a dialogue where she says that she wants nothing to do with male strippers because she doesn't like men to be objectified. I hope you are right about Pat and Kat - it would have been good if Kat was around when the boys asked Alfie if he could go and it would have been good for her to have acted fine about it (even if Alfie couldn't go as he was busy). It would have been good if Pat, Big Mo or any oter woman was around to hear them talking about going to a strip club and for them to not react in a bad way, rather than just showing Whitney's and Lauren's disapprovibg reactions.

As for Kat though - remember when they had the auction last year and Denise said that she found it degrading and Kat said to Alfie "I told you it's sexist" and Alfie said "And you getting Ryan to take his top of isn't?" and Kat replied "no" That was sexist double standards on Kat's part. And years ago Alfie said that he was going to have a stripper and Lynn Slater said "I'll form a picket line" and Kat said "I'll join you" then Alfie said "no, a male stripper" and then Lynn and Kat thought that was great and both went to watch!!

I agree that EE reflects real life because in real life there are women with such double standards but what I don't like is the fact that the show continuously shows this - I have seen many examples over the years so it seems as though EE is supporting the double standards. Plus they have a male stripper on most hen nights yet a female stripper on a stag night is so rare and even when there is one it is never shown e.g. I think Ian took Greg to a strip club. Also when Gary Hobbs booked a stripper for himself I think he tried to make a pass at her (??) and she said "I feel sorry for your wife to be" and at Lynn's hen night on the same night someone told her that Garry had a stripper and she said "He better not have" so there seems to be a negative story with a female stripper whilst when there is a male stripper the story is usually positive like women just having a laugh.

I hated seeing Alfie thinking automaticly thinking Kat was sleeping with some other bloke,I want to see complete harmony for them. I am sick of seeing these young girls talking to their elders with such disrespect, bad manners, they all need to get their butts wiped
