EastEnders wins two MVSAs
EastEnders has won Best Soap with a Black Cast or Lead in the Birmingham Black International Film Festival's Music, Video, and Screen Awards (MVSAs). This wasÌýchosen by the public. Thank you to everyone who voted!
Congratulations also go to Chucky Venn who won Best Actor.
He was in a hotly-contested category which included Ashley Walters for Inside Men, David Harewood for Ö÷²¥´óÐãland, and John Boyega for My Murder.

Sorry, but I don't believe ethnicity should be a factor in anything. Whether it is job applications, award categories or whatever.
I look forward to a time when skin tone is not an issue and everyone is judged solely on their merits.
But, as I say.... well done Chucky. Those were some big names he was up against.
Does anyone know if these awards are only for 'black' artists, or for other ethnic groups too.... for example, the Masoods?
