Ö÷²¥´óÐãtown: Lonely The Brave are a quintet from Cambridge who formed three years ago following the demise of other projects.

Style: Videos often speak louder than words and that’s certainly true when the . This summer they played our stage at Reading and Leeds festival and it was powerful stuff. We especially like the way singer David Jakes shuns the usual frontman limelight, opting to perform towards the rear of the stage where he feels more comfortable. With influences ranging from The National to Pearl Jam, Black Saucers is cracking introduction to a band who put a great deal of thought and application into rock.

You need to know: Despite it being relatively early days for Lonely The Brave, they have racked up some big name support slots on tour already. In September, they supported Deftones in Paris and have also gigged alongside Black Rebel Motorcycle Club as well as sets at Download and Hard Rock Calling.

Supported by: won’t stop going on about them. Ok, they will but they probably shouldn’t. Other Ö÷²¥´óÐã DJs to give LTB the thumbs-up include Huw Stephens, Phil Taggart, Zane Lowe and Daniel P Carter.
