Yes, you can LISTEN to it on the podcast, but the video of the same footage is "not available in your area." Total nonsense.

Mark, watch "The Big Lebowski" again you are just wrong.

Who was the twit who took Mark's place last week. The one who called 'Shaun of the Dead' a 30 minute sitcom stretched over a movie, and 'unfunny'. The irony being he was discussing Zombieland at the time, which is, quite literally, two episodes of a proposed TV show stuck together to make a movie running time and has no narrative structure at all. One of the dumbest things i've heard on the radio in some time.

there is a very funny piss take of the 'what the audience saw' trailers for The Men who stare at goats on AICN.

Going off topic a bit - Having just seen Harry Brown, I am getting worried about the Bride Wars competition. I haven't seen Bride Wars but Harry Brown is by far the worst film I've seen this year. It is a horrible display of Daily Mail politics framed through the eyes of a filmmaker who aspires to be Guy Ritchie, but who is even worse at being Guy Ritchie than Guy Ritchie is. The shot on the motorbike at the beginning being a prime example of horrible filmmaking. Awful, cartoon characters throughout.

Please stay with us Dr Kermode and don't retire even if there are 10 films worse than Bride Wars.

I agree with fortunesfool73. You don't mess with "Shaun of the Dead".

You must have at least liked all the John Goodman scenes in The Big Lebowski they're great. Second best Coen Brothers film behind No Country in front of Fargo.

  • Comment number 8.

Mark, you are so wrong about The Big Lebowski, go and watch it again.

  • Comment number 9.

Mark is not wrong about The Big Lebowski. I am a great fan of the Coen Brothers, but the film just meanders about the place without a reason. It also wasn't really that funny. Silly hippy types just associate themselves with "The Dude" and then love the film because of it. It is not a good film!

I have to agree with IanSchultz. Mark needs to relax and watch "The Big Lebowski" again. Its a grower.
