Russia has said that the reported air strikes on protesters in Libya was inaccurate. It did not happen. The Ö÷²¥´óÐã and others have been accused of playing-up the situation. There is some suggestion that false reporting was made to create a possible outside humanitarian response from the west.(reported elsewhere, Drudge perhaps)

I was a bit intrigued that both seemed to think 'just one book', which appears to form part of the current curriculum, is nothing to worry about. Or be unaware or not keen to discover what else may be around.

But given their level of awareness or grasp of facts in all areas, from education to (A)GW, none too surprising.

I wonder if they have directorships in wind farms lined up?

Who to believe in reports is an issue of concern, as well. Do we have to fund the Russians too?

A great deal could be learned about the de-education of the UK population by conducting a thorough examination of text books - the lack of chronology in history, the lack of sequentiality in biology (after all what point is there understanding 'transport across membranes' if you can't locate where a kidney is in the body?).

I recently took my 86 yr old mother 30 miles for what turned out to be a 10 minute ultrasound scan. I asked why the facility was not available in the local hospital 2 miles from my mother and was told that there were not enough trained staff. How come, I said, when so many people are unemployed and was told that it takes 5 years to train someone. well it does not take 5 years to learn how to operate an ultrasound machine if the results are interpreted by someone else and I don't even believe you would need a full 5 year medical degree to interpret the readings. the japanese tea ceremony may be a wonderful thing but the nhs just needs a few practically minded people. why not run apprenticeships in paramedical jobs as well as care jobs?
