Bishop Donal Murray faces resignation calls
Dr (pictured), is facing growing pressure to resign after the Dublin Archdiocese Commission of Investigation described his response to a child abuse allegation, while he served as an auxiliary bishop of Dublin, as "inexcusable". On today's Sunday Sequence, his fellow bishop, Dr John McAreavey of Dromore acknowledged that Dr Murray has "serious questions to answer". He has actually been pretty appropriate in much of this, although I would like to see more attention focused on bringing the malcreants who "drove the getaway car", as someone put it, before the courts, and, if convicted, into jail.
