The Grand Final - Results Show!

Post categories: ,Ìý

Ö÷²¥´óÐã Strictly Nora | 20:18 UK time, Saturday, 17 December 2011

Who will be crowned Strictly Come Dancing Champion 2011? In tonight's show Chelsee, Harry and Jason were tantalisingly close to glitterball glory as they each gave two spectacular routines. In a show where only the viewer vote counts, the judges were full of praise for their performances, after a storming start Bruno said to Harry "You came and you danced and you conquered Blackpool." Alesha said to Jason "If it was a marathon Jason you would have already won." And Len told Chelsee "I've judged in this room many times, judging a girl like you with no experience is as good for me as judging the world championship."

Is it too close to call? It seems like it, stay right here as we crown the winner and runners up of Strictly Come Dancing 2011!

    Love the show so far!!!!!!!!

  • Comment number 2.

Hi again, I am back after having some refreshment (of the alcholic kind :)) and looking forward to see who is going - should be interesting.

  • Comment number 3.

My phone was constantly engaged during the whole voting time - I only managed to get through once!!! I've just sent in a complaint to the Ö÷²¥´óÐã it was so frustrating not being able to get through to vote.

The show was wonderful I thought - loved Blackpool what a difference from Wembley wasn't it?

  • Comment number 4.

hope harry and chelsea get through to final two

  • Comment number 5.

Tin & jonic here hic !

  • Comment number 6.

I am with you there shifter. They are certainly the better dancers but history suggests Jason will lift the glitterball. Since series 2 the couple who danced 3rd have been the couple to be eliminated which if the trend continues would mean a showdown between Harry and Jason and 3 couple final or not the couple who were 2nd on to the dance floor has been the couple to lift the glitterball

  • Comment number 7.

    Jesse J ??
    I want Jesse197..... he's a jack russell !

  • Comment number 8.

yesssssssssssssss just what i wanted!! Harry for the win!!!!

  • Comment number 9.

The trend has been bucked! The 1st time the couple dancing 2nd hasn't been in the final showdown let alone gone on to lift the glitterball. However I feel the right couple has gone - all be it, the dancing standard was so high it was marginal.

  • Comment number 10.

Oh Jason and Kristina are out!

  • Comment number 11.

Great show - but the guy who did the best show dance has just gone. Shame

  • Comment number 12.

Phew £50 I never went to the bookies with !
I expected Jason to win from day 1.....

  • Comment number 13.

What a shame Jason is out tonight - he did the best show dance. I don't think Chelsee is quite as good tonight.

  • Comment number 14.

this should be good fingers xd

  • Comment number 15.

Very dissapointed that Jason has gone going to turn of now cannot stand the two that are left

  • Comment number 16.

    Hali..... 1 word
    Beautiful

  • Comment number 17.

    great dance by harry

  • Comment number 18.

    lovely lovely lovely

  • Comment number 19.

Going into the competition, Jason was a definite third, but in my mind he was the stand out winner of the first round. Shame, then, that he was voted out. Were people actually watching the dancing or had they made up their minds before the show started? In which case, was the dancing just moving wallpaper?

  • Comment number 20.

Beautiful American Smooth Team Hali but judging from Craigs comments you won't have 4 10s

  • Comment number 21.

A rumba is never an easy dance to tackle but Chelsee is made that look so beutiful - Poetry in Motion

  • Comment number 22.

that was v good too, just so close too call

  • Comment number 23.

    Was that really a Rumba?

  • Comment number 24.

Harry has not won this.... yet

  • Comment number 25.

Disappointed - I had no trouble voting for Harry but every time I tried to vote for Jason I had a BT message saying number unobtainable. Everybody is brilliant however I hope Jason's vote was not effected by this apparent glitch.

  • Comment number 26.

That is high praise indeed. The last rumba performed in a final was Rachel & Vincents memorable number back in series 6 and that got 39 and when I heard Craigs comments I thought Chelsee was going to better that but she has equalled it instead. Deseved 40

  • Comment number 27.

still want harry to win he is fab u lous

  • Comment number 28.

Jesse197, the jack russel terrier, can sing better too !

  • Comment number 29.

Well Chelsea that Rumba was Super.

  • Comment number 30.

I think it's time to get rid of Craig. He's a miserable so and so. He tells Chelsee she pulled it out of the bag and then gives her a nine. He's not marking the quality of the dancing he's marking his little favourite Harry. Craig it's time to go and make way for a happier and fairer judge.

  • Comment number 31.

I too could not get through to vote for Jason, kept getting BT message.
I thought he was the best dancer on the night by a mile.

  • Comment number 32.

Now i know i'm right. Craig has just said i LOVE you too to Harry AND another 10 surprise surprise

  • Comment number 33.

    wonderful go harry

  • Comment number 34.

Sorry to see Jason go. A real gent. He performed the best showdance by far and I think he wanted it more than the others, maybe that actually was to his detriment. Chelsee and Harry both worthy finalists. I dont thik Chelsee's performances are as polished as usual. On the whole I think Harry deserves it more.

  • Comment number 35.

How can club footed Harry get four 10's? Fuming!

  • Comment number 36.

I tried to vote for Chelsea, coudn't get through either.

  • Comment number 37.

To the last Craig marks it as he sees it.
I cannot comment on the technicalities, I know nuffink, but I think he is impeccably Fair......
To say he doesn't overmark would understate the case !

  • Comment number 38.

I think this is too close to call. I marginally favour Chelsee but I wouldn't begrudge Harry winning the title by any means. He would be a worthy champion.

  • Comment number 39.

Can't Tess think of any better questions to ask them tonight! Don't like the dress she's wearing for the results show - doesn't do anything for her.
Great show tonight though - one of the best finals ever!

  • Comment number 40.

    Couldn't get through for Harry.

  • Comment number 41.

Sorry Craig, How does magnificent or first class equate to a 9 score?

  • Comment number 42.

Good Luck both. I'm gutted Jason has gone but either of you could take this. Well Done.

  • Comment number 43.

    point to note :
Wembley was a Dis as ter dahhhhhling !

  • Comment number 44.

why is there only a harry picture here?

  • Comment number 45.

so annoyed tried for 55 mins to vote for Jason, either a sorry we're busy or bt message, I'm thinking the voting is rigged, can't be a public vote if you can't get through

  • Comment number 46.

It makes a nice change to see them all doing a group dance instead of individually coming on to the floor with their professional partners to dance one of their routines again

  • Comment number 47.

    Yes

  • Comment number 48.

hooray. mcfly boys spoilt it though

  • Comment number 49.

We're well into the result show and my goodness so much programme padding. The Ö÷²¥´óÐã editors must be working overtime to rehash previous footage to pad out an hour's programme.

The actual dances were stunning - it's far too close to call - but in an hour's programme once again we have two dances of - let's be generous - 2 mins per contestant - 8 minutes in total.

So what's in the rest of the 52 minutes? A totally gratuitous clip of Jesse J - sorry but what on earth has she got to do with ballroom dancing? She didn't even use the SCD dancers and the clip was obviously pre-recorded and not live.

Yes we had a show dance from previous contestants - but that's hardly entertaining and certainly not up to the standard of the finalists.

Sorry but the Ö÷²¥´óÐã need to seriously rethink occasion like this. We want real programme content and not endless padding - and some serious guests who have some connection with dancing.

And... looks like Harry has won. Congratulations to him although Chelsee was only a gnat's whisker behind.

  • Comment number 50.

Well done Harry! I would have liked Chelsee to win but I certainly don't begrudge Harry. Harry and Chelsee were the best dancers through out the competition and either would have made a worthy champion. This must be a particularly special moment for Aliona after narrowly missing out with Matt Baker last year.

  • Comment number 51.

    YES!!! Yipeeeee!!

  • Comment number 52.

But... what sort of sound engineers are the Ö÷²¥´óÐã employing? Again we get this barn like echo on both Brucie's and the judges mikes? Yes The Tower Ballroom is a big place but if X-Factor can get it right with Dermot and the judges - and that was from the dreaded Wembley Arena - why can't the Ö÷²¥´óÐã? Are they empolying work experience teenagers to do the sound mix?

  • Comment number 53.

thanking everyone for supporting alliona and ME! -not I-grammar is going to pot.
that result was a foregone conclussion many weeks ago, mcfly connections, tess/aleysha/zoe gooing over him and baring his torso.
Well done Chelsea and Jason you proved to be great competition.

  • Comment number 54.

If the phone lines are open for the same amount of time. and both lines are constantly engaged other than for those who get through, why aren't the phone votes equal? After all there should be the same about of lines for each number!

  • Comment number 55.

i think this is taken a little too seriously, its a good show its entertaining, if your going to complain about silly little things like sound engineers, and contestants grammer.. maybe dont watch it anymore! i dont know about dancing but i love the show. it makes my saturday night, loved harry and chelsea and without xfactor and now striclty i shall feel a bit lost!

  • Comment number 56.

I'm happy for Harry but I am disappointed that Chelsee didn't win as I was really rooting for her but she should be so impressed with herself, she did some wonderful dances but I am annoyed with Craig gave all this positive feedback of her dances and then gave her 9.

  • Comment number 57.

    Fabulous final!
    Every dancer was AMAZING!
    Well done Harry and Aliona.
Shame Holly couldn't have been there too... she was a deserving 4th place and could of sneaked into the final and been a contender.
Overall... great final and a fitting climax to a wonderful series!

  • Comment number 58.

Interesting tha there aren't 150 plus comment by this stage. Looks like people have been watching the TV instead of multi-tasking and posting as well as watching.

But... I hope Chelsee gets offered some parts in musical theatre that involves dancing, She's a natural... now.. if she can sing as well!!!

  • Comment number 59.

Why wasn't Claudia on the results show tonight??

  • Comment number 60.

I agree Jason's showdance was the best (marginally) but overall Harry deserved to win and I'm glad he did. Well done Harry and well done McFly for dashing on to the floor to congratulate him!

  • Comment number 61.

Very good final, thought they were all worthy of the final. Liked Jason's show dance but thought Chelsee was not quite as sure as usual on that. Harry's was good.

I would have liked them both to have won but on balance I think Harry was the most consistent and the better dancer although Chelsee was amazing with such natural grace. Even the group dance was quite good!

Must congratulate the 3 professionals in the Final, the choeography was really good and showed their partners off really well.

Good job all round and only 9 months to wait for the next show.

Merry Christmas to all and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

  • Comment number 62.

Strictly Makes My Christmas, Well Done, to both couples, too close to call really.

  • Comment number 63.

I don't think that Harry Judd should have won, no disrespect to Harry. I felt that Jason Donovan and Chelsea Healey on the night were better and it should have been them in the final two. Jason has done us older men proud. When it came to the final 2 dances I felt that Chelsea had the edge and I think that Craig Revel Hallwood should have given Chelsee 10 instead of 9. He said her quickstep was first class. First class yet he gave 9. What a joke. He wanted Harry to win. Judges are meant to be impartial. This is my opinion. Harry flashing his chest on TV. Its dancing that counts not posing or showboating. Its obvious that the female vote made the result count. Yet I found his quickstep first class and his best dance of the night but for me Chelsee had more dance content and I felt that Chelsee should have won. Lets hope that Chelsee wins the Christmas Day Show. She was the best on the night.

  • Comment number 64.

I had a strange glitch with the voting - I dialed the number for Jason, after several failed attempts with an engaged line I got thanked for voting for HARRY! I hit the redial button, got through and got the Jason thankyou. What was that about?

  • Comment number 65.

hannajf - I mention the sound mix only because it sounds jarringly off with rest of the programme - it spoils my viewing pleasure - it makes me think that the Ö÷²¥´óÐã can't be bothered in getting this one little detail right. I still massively enjoyed the dances, but the Ö÷²¥´óÐã is world class broadcaster, and still, seemingly, can't get this one little detail right.

  • Comment number 66.

Great show and series, pure entertainment. My congratulations to all contestants and professional dancers. Harry and Aliona were deserved winners, as were Chelsea, Jason and partners. Lets have more entertainment like this makes a Saturday night worth staying in for, well done.

  • Comment number 67.

Once again the winner is the programme makers pre selected favourite. I dont begrudge Harry's win he probably deserved it but did Chelsee really have a chance when undermarked by Craig all night.

  • Comment number 68.

A close-fought final to a good standard. Viewing figures sound like they have crept up from 11 to 12 million. They have even found an able stand-in for Claudia on ITT. I would imagine there are going to be some very happy Ö÷²¥´óÐã management types at this years wrap party. Does seem to have been a good year for strictly overall.

    Well done to all involved.

  • Comment number 69.

Well done Harry! & more importantly, Congratulations Aliona. We tend to forget the professional & all the hours & hours of hard work that they put in. She is a very talented dancer & an innovative choreographer...The body language said that she really has fallen for Harry...To my mind the reason Jason failed was that he was to robotic (dancing by numbers) not a natural dancer...unlike Chelsee who was a natural.....What they both lacked & the reason for Harry winning was that he had as the french would say....Je ne sais qois!

  • Comment number 70.

For all my gripes on the details, I think we had an outstanding trio of celebs for the final. All danced magnificently and, on reflection, I think that Harry had it by a whisker. If only he'd stopped messing about and flouting the ballroom rules earlier in the competition, he would have been unstoppable.

Let's remember that ALL of Chelsee's dances were very much Strictly Ballroom, (no new steps) and strictly in hold, unlike Harry's, however brilliant his talent is.

It was only in the latter stages that Harry got rid of the props and gimmicks and showed us what he is really capable of - and that was awesome!

And... perhaps it was a tad unfair to expect Chelsee to do a Rumga on finals night (considering that the rumba is the most difficult dances to get across). She did brilliantly but even so...

  • Comment number 71.

YES Yes Yes AMAZING Harry and Alliona's american smooth better than any of the show dances. amazingly high standard from programme 1 this year but i think the best couple did win but was a very close call this year. hope brendan is as nice next year as this year and james is as caring they stood out this year looking out for the celebs and having fun
CANNOT WAIT for next years show- well done to all who bring this to our screens

  • Comment number 72.

Fantastic ! First time ever for me that I loved all the finalists no real outright favourite but over the moon for Harry and at the same time felt great sadness for Chelsee and Jason. WELL DONE EVERYONE you were a fantastic bunch and have made Saturday evenings so lovely and most enjoyable ! shall be a bit lost now , nothing as good left on TV! It was a great series just so glad we have got tickets for the tour at Nottingham ...so excited cant wait.

  • Comment number 73.

Has anyone considered the fact that tonight's results show proves the point that the results show should be on a Saturday night and that both the Lottery (take your pick of whatever dreadful quiz show) and Casualty (which has degenerated from an interesting TV drama to a dreadfully boring soap) could be easily dropped from the schedule?

  • Comment number 74.

A special thank you to Sir Bruce for keeping the programme together and hosing the way only he can. This will be a series to remember. And a blooming hard one to top. Moira has gone out on a high from producing. I thnk the appropriate expression is "beat that!".

  • Comment number 75.

Chelsee did a dreadful show dance, a good Rhumba and a lacklustre jive. And even Chelsee fans think so so please people, stop being so partisan. Tell it like it is rather than living in fan club land.

  • Comment number 76.

StuartHX. The results show is recorded on the Saturday of the show. That's whay you only get 30 mins to vote otherwise everyone would be there until the next morning!....It's done that way because the X Factor is done that way...although their results show on a Sunday is live. It always makes me laugh when they all change their frocks & refer to last night's show when everybody knows that it's recorded on the same night......Note to producers for next year...if the budget can run to it, make next years results show live. Then nobody will know until the Sunday including the audience...if you get my drift!

  • Comment number 77.

I have followed and enjoyed the entire series of SCD and think the best 3 were in the final.
I eventually voted for Harry and was overjoyed that he won but within seconds I was totally deflated because of Bruce Forsyth's rude, aggressive and unprofessional behaviour directed at McFly. This obviously upset and embarrassed Harry who, instead of being allowed to enjoy his victory and celebrate with his friends, then felt compelled to apologise. So Harry's friends didn't follow the 'script' - so what! I would have thought that in the 60 odd years that Bruce has been in show business, he would have learnt to improvise but obviously not!

Shame on you, Bruce. You ruined the entire evening for me and my family. Instead of joyfully discussing the show and the series, all we can talk about now is Bruce Forsyth's rude and boorish outburst. We are on a complete downer and really unhappy that he should so spoil our months of following this fantastic programme. Boo - hiss!!

  • Comment number 78.

This series of Strictly has been (to quote Chris Evans on his breakfast show) the most uplifting tv shows - in my opinion - since the 2 Ronnies !!

I would like to add that I felt Chelsee was the more accomplished dancer. Her rhumba was exquisite and both her and Pasha looked like one and very much a professional pair. Why on earth Craig didn't score her a 10 is beyond me. Well done Chelsee and I think you should take up dancing professionally. Harry though, you're a love and a great role model for young guys out there. Thanks Strictly for making us all smile - it's a rubbish enough world out there....

  • Comment number 79.

Pgges - I'm well aware that the Sunday results show has been recorded on the Satuarday night - hence absolutely everyone knowing who had been eleiminated by 10p.m. Saturday. My point was that if they can do a live results show for the final on a Saturday night - and spare viewers from the increasingly desparate rubbish the passes for a Lottery programme - we cabsolutely should reinstate the Saturday SCD results show.

  • Comment number 80.

Oh and Pagges.... the X-Factor keep their votes open until the very much live Sunday results show. It IS live (unlike Strictly) so they can do that!

  • Comment number 81.

Well done Harry - though a pretty much foregone conclusion from the start of the series. Just wish Aliona had sorted his hands out.

Chelsee - With that beautiful Rumba you proved you were a very worthwhile runner up.

A great show-dance from Jason & Kristina. A Vegemite character with the public perhaps but a real showman.

  • Comment number 82.

I though Harry was a deserved winner - usually got time for Craig as a judge but just didn't understand his marking at all - with only praise for Chelsee's jive which he has previously awarded a 10 for - then to everyone's amazement he gives it a 9 - same with her fantastic Rumba - would love to hear his reasoning behind these marks. Like others on this blog I spent 30 mins trying to vote for Chelsee only to be greeted with a continuous busy tone - why was this? and did others have this problem trying to vote? The best dance of the night I thought was Chelsee an Pasha's Rumba which was very emotional.

  • Comment number 83.

    Hi all,

Well that's it Strictly over for another year.

The result was a foregone conclusion for me Harry has been consistent throughout the whole series and he deserved the win congratulations to Hatrry and Aliona.

Chelsee and Pasha worthy runners up and they put in 4 great dances.

All in all it has been a fantastic series of Strictly and I have throughly enjoyed being on the blogs here as well.

Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.

And see you all back here hopefully for Strictly 2012.

    Keeeeeeeeeeep Dancing

  • Comment number 84.

First time going to bore everyone with my observations this series. Ok in my opinion a good series and throughly enjoyed it but not the best. Too many standing ovations when not deserved, and audience whooping. Too American style for me but hey the powers that be at the beeb don't care about anything but audience figures - don't they realise that these figues are farcical now with taping options. Harry probably deserved to win overall and on the night but Jason's show dance was the best (although not the best ever).

Highlights of series for me were: Swan Lake show dance by Holly and Artum (they should have made the final), Russell Grant - his attitude and he did try to dance, unlike JS and AW in other series, and didn't play for the sympathy vote as they did in previous series, but not alot else to make me watch many dances on U Tube. Anyway that's it for another year and I will no doubt be back watching next year just hope they don't get rid of James and Ola and other regualar pro dances but think they might.

  • Comment number 85.

Congratulations to Harry and Aliona, a great series ruined for us at the very end. We sat, horror-struck, as Bruce said something along the lines of "oh, you`re his father are you? Well clear off" to Harry`s father. Unbelievable loss of control on Bruce`s part in my opinion. I agree with you Lynn (post 77). I understand that proceedings have to be controlled, however this is not what I expect to witness during a programme that appears to pride itself on being family entertainment, suitable for adults and children alike.

  • Comment number 86.

Harry deserved to win and the celebs in the final were great. However despite the hype from the Beeb about this series being the best, I found it extremely annoying at times. Naff videos, naff props, a poor programme from Wembley. Now we hear that several pros are to be axed. If the Beeb decides to bring in yet more foreign professionals it will be the last straw for me. Although James Jordan isn't my favourite pro, he is one of the only two British pro's in Strictly left, I want to see more British dancers on Strictly. For example the excellent Ian Waite who is wasted on ITT, and Matthew Cutler, who are both superior choreographers and dancers compared to some of the current pros. If we get yet more Americanised rubbish next year, this year will be the last Strictly I shall watch.

  • Comment number 87.

A fantastic show again all the finalists gave a show stopping performance but the endless repetition of the vt footage spoiled the programme. Why not have more pro dances? we did not see enough of them, after all it is supposed to be a dance show. The end of the final was chaotic as well.

  • Comment number 88.

Although I said bye bye yesterday just couldn't resist posting again! Just watched show dances again and without doube Jason and Kristina's was the best.Dancing, a few amazing lifts and great joy. As Alisha said "A show DANCE".

I never felt last night that Chelsee was at the top of her game and I think it was a shame that all 3 didn't get to dance all their dances.

As for Bruce telling people to "get off" - a professional performer hmmmm - also people have moaned about Harry's friends coming on. If I had a son, I have daughters, I would be happier with my boy watching ballroom dancing on a Saturday night than many of the others activies we hear about such as attacking train staff, urinating on war memorials and robbing and vandalising other people's property!!

Not really sorry about the rant but it seems there is always someone who will have a moan about a happy and exubruiant (?) time and I got my goat.

    Bye

  • Comment number 89.

Oh well SCD is over for another year. Got the impression that Harry was a cert to win when we saw the recording at TV Center the week after Wembley.

Feel that Jason & Kristina were robbed - IMHO their dances were best on average.

SCD is undergoing changes for next year. Here're my suggestions:

    1) Judges shouldn't plug their favourites
    2) Replace Alesha by a judge who knows something about dancing (Karen Hardy?)
    3) Score dancers evenly not by expectation of performance
    4) Keep James & Ola who take the dancing seriously. James was initially hard with his celebrity but now he's mellowed and defends them.
    5) Get rid of Anton he just treats it as a big, no so funny, joke
    6) Change the stupid VT clips before dancers come out. I know that they are required to allow time for the studio to be prepared but actually show the training not some stupid and staged scenario.
    7) The celebrity selection this year has improved. Ensure that next set have a degree of passion and willingness to learn.
    8) Keep Zoe on to host ITT. Save money and get rid of Claudia as she provides nothing to enhance the show (ITT or the results show)
    9) The Judges's selection should be in the second half of the final. In the first part it could be used to subjectively bias the voting. Proposed order of dances in final: Couples favourite, Showdance, New dance, Judges favourite.

On Radio2, Len did say that the British version is more technical whilst the American DWTS is flamboyant razmataz. On the show Len gives the impression of wanting to see the technical side of dancing. Personally this is what I also want to see.

  • Comment number 90.

Congratulations to Harry and Aliona on their well deserved victory. I have to admit that of the three show dances Jason and Kristina's was my favourite. If the third placed couple are going to only dance two dances can it be the show dance and the dance they have not done before otherwise they are wasting their time learning a new dance and the viewers miss out on seeing it too.
    For next year here are some suggestions;
    1) Judges to remain impartial and unbiased towards all competitors at all times. Stick to constructive criticism of the dance and do not make personal remarks especially derogatory ones. Len needs to avoid vulgarity which sometimes creeps in,and Alesha needs to work on her grammar. If there are changes with the judging panel Karen Hardy and Ian Waite would be good choices since they know what they are talking about.
    2) Give Anton a decent partner so that he can get to the final; nine seasons and still waiting,he deserves it!
3)If the final format stays the same next year, perhaps the third placed couple could do their new dance as a farewell, unmarked and uncritiqued before they leave.
    4) The show dance used to be the last dance of the night to provide an exciting climax; would it be possible to go back to that?
Looking forward to the Christmas special!

  • Comment number 91.

a bit picky queendancingowl!! but i know what you mean. i think one judge should be erin boag!! and why did arlene phillips go??anyone know??? what a fab series though, my favourite so far, fab all the way im a serious scd fan!!!! happy xmas everyone....:) xox

  • Comment number 92.

lets have some new blood on the show bye Bruce & Tess!

  • Comment number 93.

agree with Milliment and Lynn - extremely rude and unprofessional hope the Ö÷²¥´óÐã take note.

  • Comment number 94.

Some comments on 'the morning after'

Firstly - congratulations to Harry - certainly a worthy winner although Chelsee wasn't far behind. I do wonder, however, why Chelsee got the rumba as her new dance. It's acknowledged to be the most difficult of the dances to pull off. I wouldn't like to say that she was knobbled - perhaps it was simply the luck of the draw - but one does wonder.

And... commiserations also to Jason - he wasn't that far behind either - so worthy set of celebs for the final.

The programme itself was enjoyable... up to a point. But... as I said in a previous post, there was far too much programme padding... 8 minutes or less of dancing in a 60 min show. OK some of that was judges' comments, but the rest was a variation of 'Let's see them in training' or 'here's their story' or whatever. In other words a re-hash of material we'd seen several times before.

Yes, there need to be gaps for the dancers to change, for the (thankfully few) props to be set, for the band to re-shuffle and change their music, but... what has happened to the professional show dances? Why can't we have more 'guest artists' (and not of the totally irrelevant nature of Jesse J) who are willing to perform live? What about inviting dance-based guests?

If you watched the X-Factor final, they had, I believe at least 4 guest artists and even the build-up links got progressively shorter and shorter as they got towards the end of the results show.

It almost looked like penny pinching on the Ö÷²¥´óÐã's part which is amazing given the high profile of the show.

And, I agree wholeheartedly with queendancingowl's comments.

Apologies to all who loved it, but I found part 2 to be just incredibly slow (right up until the end, when they seemed to run out of time altogether: why add so much padding and then not be able to go out cleanly?)

Forsyths rant at the end was quite comical, although not really acceptable. Live shows really need someone able to cope with the unexpected.

Not bad overall though, good effort by everyone

Surprised to see people complaining about how Bruce dealt with the McFy boys and Harry's father coming onto the floor. I thought he handled it expertly with just the right amount of mock annoyance. He wasn't being nasty when he was telling them to "get off" or "clear off". I'm amazed at the number of people who seem to have a sense of humour by-pass or who don't pick up on irony.

Why is everyone moaning about Bruce, he handled an unrehearsed situation well. He certainly was not being nasty he is too professional for that.

People just moan about everything !!!!!!

    Hi everyone,
what a great s.c.d final show from Blackpool ballroom,
I dont know if anyone else has noticed that Harry has not once thanked the public for keeping Aliona and himself in the show untill last night when Tess prompted him to say thank you to the public for keeping him in, Harry made the comment about he would not of been able to dance had it not been for Aliona teaching him, does he not remember taking part in a children in need strictly come dancing competition with Ola Jordan and winning, that was 19th November 2010, so it was Ola that taught Harry to dance and not Aliona, which to my mind gave him an advantage over the other contestants that took part in s.c.d this year as he could already dance, I felt Chelsee was undermarked by Graig in 2 dances, he favoured Harry over Chelsee, that much was clear, Im pleased for Harry and Aliona dont get me wrong, just that Harry makes out its the first time he has danced , on this series of s.c.d which is untrue, I felt for Jason this year, I thought he may of won this year, hes put in a lot of hard work, I thought Chelsee was outstanding, she should of won to my mind, she is a brilliant dancer, hope Chelsee gets some work out of being on s.c.d maybe in a west end show, anyway Im looking farward to the xmas special s.c.d and look farward to another s.c.d next year, have a happy xmas everyone and may 2012 be everything that you want it to be,

A shame we never got to hear what Chelsee and Pasha had to say. The runners-up are always treated badly but this year was even worse. Can't blame the presenters for that; the McFly boys running on was meant to be funny, and on another occasion may have been, on this occasion, however, all it did was ensure we never got to hear from Chelsee and Pasha. A pity they couldn't have been interviewed anyway, even if it meant the show over-running.

I wish the Ö÷²¥´óÐã would have ITT on the Monday after the final so we could have a proper send off to all the finalists, and the runners-up could be properly interviewed and say their goodbyes. Maybe the Ö÷²¥´óÐã could interview Chelsee and Pasha and put it up on the website this week. Without a proper goodbye it feels like you've taken the needle off a record before the fade - it gives no sense of closure, to be all American about it.
