In short: He stole the ticket from a women and consequently sat next to her husband in the stadium. Who had no better idea than to call the police.

Thats what they where trying to do. Personalized tickets and no way to cange the name on the ticket without a good reason. They could effectively fight the black market by checking identities at the stadium. But that might result in half full stadiums and noone wants that.

Tickets did cost up to 1,980 Euro's face value.
Opening match bought from Fifa cost 600Euro's if you had a Cat-1 and also had Hospitality you would have paid up to 3,000 Euro's.

Could be that the last game the ones complaining about the cost of tickets was in the 1980's. If you went and saw Chelsea at home you can pay up to 拢1200 easily per game.

The world Cup is every 4 years takes years to organise and host's the finest players on earth in the final stages. For that how to give that a price>? I have just paid 500 Euro's to see England with hospitality but if they were in the final stages I would pay much more. We all try to blag tickets but how much can you blag!

The Fan-fests are getting better by the day and when the real big ones are ready for the semi-finals / Final they will be Stadium like - you will have to pay but only a small amount but the atmosphere will be electric, the Germans have thought about this as they know only a tiny number will be able to be inside.

Tell me about it. Before the match, I thought Brazil would murder us 3 or 4 Nil.
During the match, I thought we could beat them.
After the match, I think the Aussies played brilliantly in defence and midfield, hampering and out-playing the Brazilians. We just lacked the finishing up front. That`s a problem. Maybe Brazil were just defending too well.

For the 2nd match running we had a dodgy ref (giving loads more fouls to Aus than Brazil, inc some fouls that were not fouls at all. Wish they were consistent and applied the rules to both teams fairly. Maybe the Aussies tough-tackling rep preceded them.

Man of the match for the Aussies was Emerton imo.... he really gave the Aussies impetus going forward. They all played extremely well though... but obviously not well enough to score. I hope they sort out the scoring aspect for the Croatia game. I have every confidence they will.
I don`t think we`ll get past the first game in the knockouts though.

few points..
firstly well done the aussies for the game yesterday, the players and fans in the allianz arena were awesome.
the supporters never shut up and sang the whole way through, i think any english fans in the ground would have been impressed with us.
secondly, the price of ticckets, well i was prepared to pay 600 euro and was lucky enough to get one for 350, but to be honest for anyone who was there for the game, was money well spent, as was one of the best atmosphered games i have been to in a long time.
met two guys who refused to pay 350 originally, then were regretting it.no one who went to the game yesterday will talk of the price of the ticket, thats forsure!
last of all, the aussie players who did us proud, they passed the ball around and really gave it a good shot which is all we wanted.
the ref was a major disappointment with his decisions being at times terrible.overall an unbelievable experience and great day for australian football.
only thing is where were the bars after the game!!

But lets be honest the aussies couldnt score a pint in a brewery. Kewell the new Aussie god missed a gapping open goal and captain fantastic, well how many chances does he want.
Carhill the saviour, Hiddink the genius decides to take him off, must be on the same wave length that made Sven promote Becks to right back!
You boys should of had a draw and possibly a win but woeful finishing could mean an early bath :(

What was his name? Ejaculate or something? Owen left Liverpool to win silverware, better leave England too. If you look hard you'll find Gerrard isn't even English, he couldn't be he's too good!
