Hell-raising hair dos, dodgy perms and the return of Steve Strange: Celebrity Scissorhands is back!

The Academy's management team

Manager - Lee Stafford

Ìý

Lee Stafford is one of Britain's most innovative and busy hairdressers. He leads the way in the hairdressing industry, not only by doing fantastic hair but also by creating new cutting techniques, beautiful collections, designing state of the art salons and award-winning product ranges.

Ìý

In 2006, Lee won the inaugural 'Hairdresser of the Year' award for Hair magazine and the National Hairdressing Federation 'Hairdresser of the Year' award.

Ìý

Image Consultant – Steve Strange

Ìý

Welsh-born Steve is famed for being a pioneer of the New Romantic movement and he has become a British cultural icon.

Ìý

In the 1970s he began working for music impresario Malcolm McClaren. In 1978 he formed the band Visage who two years later scored global success with Fade To Grey, which reached Number One in over 13 countries.

Ìý

Tales of his extraordinary life were published in his best-selling autobiography Blitzed, and he was even immortalised on stage in Boy George's successful musical Taboo.

Ìý

As last year's Assistant Manager, Steve created some 'unusual' hair styles including shaving a 'V' into the back of one woman's head. Unfortunately his shaky hands also let him down when he accidentally drew blood by cutting a client's ear.

Ìý

African and European Hairdresser - Errol Douglas

Ìý

With 28 years of experience in hairdressing, Errol Douglas is renowned for creating signature cuts and stunning collections with both African/Caribbean and European hair.

Ìý

Errol's hairdressing career began at the age of 11 when he started work in a local East End salon. After gaining his qualifications he worked at a number of top London establishments, before setting up his own bustling salon in the summer of 1998.

Ìý

His unique styling abilities have earned him a number of awards in recognition of his work. He has twice won African Hairdresser of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards and has been crowned Honorary Ambassador for the Hairdressing Council in addition to Fellowship Hairdresser of the Year.

Ìý

This year he received his tenth nomination for the highest accolade of all - British Hairdresser of the Year.

Ìý

Errol is renowned for his expertise in African and European hairstyling. His client list includes Iman, Gabrielle Richens and Christina Ricci.

Ìý

Ìý

She regularly appears on TV and radio and lectures widely for BABTAC, writes for the Association's prestigious magazine Vitality and is considered one of the Association's most important ambassadors.
