Being Mum: introduction

Rajo and Naveen, who feature in Too Old To Be A Mum?

Ö÷²¥´óÐã One explores some of the extreme and sometimes controversial challenges facing parents today in a new series of documentaries, Being Mum.

Maxine Watson, the season's commissioning executive, explains: "The diverse range of four one-off documentaries focus on some unusual aspects of motherhood, which I hope our audience will not only identify with, but will also find thought-provoking."

Being Mum includes Too Old To Be A Mum?, which follows mothers old enough to be grandparents; My Child Won't Speak examines the rare emotional disorder known as selective mutism and the children who are battling it; I Hate Mum (working title) charts the stories of families struggling to cope with aggressive children; and Having A Baby To Save My Child follows couples as they undergo cutting-edge treatment to try to cure their sick child.
