Argali sheep

The only way to film wary argalis is to use a powerful telephoto lens. High definition camera lenses give fantastic magnification and amazing image quality, but, despite built-in image stabilisation, the lens is hard to keep stable in the constant winds that race across the Tibetan plateau. Any judder is ruthlessly exposed by the high magnification, so the team huddled round the camera to create a protective wind-break.
