After a 25 mile, two day walk from the nearest road, through leech infested mud and over threadbare hanging bridges, rough handling had rendered the crew's HD camera inoperable. With only four day's food left, sending for a replacement wasn't possible. So as not to waste the trip, an inspired option was to use the DSLR camera to capture stills and play the resulting high-quality images back as time-lapse sequences.
