Darren Edgley

Darren runs his own florist business in Llandudno, and prefers to call himself a floral artist rather than florist. His shop is his life, love and hobby, and he works seven days a week, mainly doing weddings and wedding fairs.

锘縊riginally from Nantwich, Cheshire, he moved to Chirk near Wrexham when he was seven and then Colwyn Bay at 11. After school he embarked on a catering course only to leave after a term to study flower arranging, and he鈥檚 never looked back.

I鈥檓 a little bit scared, but I think I鈥檒l be okay.
Darren

Darren has a keen interest in art. His favorite works are early Picasso and Van Gough. He likes most of Dali鈥檚 work, and the Masters such as Rembrandt, and Da Vinci. He doesn鈥檛 consider photography to be art.

Not surprisingly, he likes paintings of flowers, and is an amateur painter himself, mostly painting flowers. Darren is a regular visitor to museums, and has visited museums in London, York and recently the Van Gough museum in Amsterdam.

When not arranging flowers Darren likes tapestry and embroidery, and also collects Pelham Puppets - he has around 200 of them - and is in the process of building a puppet theatre in his attic.
