Just to say that the Sannox cricket club ground was only given the award of fourth most beautiful cricket club in the UK. This was due to the absence of a thatched pavilion and regulation number of doileys under cucumber sandwiches. Still, being fourth means that we are not overcome by lack of seating for home fixtures. Pitch invasions by sheep are the norm, and occasionally one is called up for fielding duty if mr gourlay is immobilised. What is the best island golf club, the one on Colonsay has got to be up there, absolutely no need to mow because of the itinerant sheep.

Did the Vikings play golf? Thought the story was Thor's Hammer not his wood iron.

I think the name Sannox probably counted against it - sounds like a sort of Aldi disinfectant. Cricket grounds with names like Ottery St Peters or Thorpe Misperton are more likely winners. Sannox sounds like the Anglo Saxon settlement upon which Grangemouth is built. How's the summer Sunny - see we have a new boss looking after us? Golden Graham is gone. Annie B sends her best - she is off to Malaya next week to buy rubber matting for next years Fank.

Thinking back to the profiles of some of the fank attendees, perhaps she should just pop down to the local chemist and by some rubber knickers.

Flying Cat from Isle Incontinent

Apologies for the innacuracy, I didn't read the cricket magazine that reported the award myself what with me being a woman. Of course the Vikings played golf and cricket and ran beetle drives! They will be doing what ever else we need them to do to raise dosh for the upkeep of the longship etc. We thought of running a more traditional week of rape and pillage but some of the residents objected as they felt this might exclude the very old and infirm

To Flying Cat Annie B will have enough trouble getting her shampoo through airport security without complicating things with items of intimate rubber leisurewear. But believe me if anyone can get away with it she will.

Calumannabel, don't you know that if you go around naming villages with twee names you get a high murder rate? Don't you watch ITV4? If you live in a place like that you will end up with Bergerac, Miss Marple, Inspector Wexford and all their chums dropping in every five minutes and twice on Sundays!
