Episode Two: 'Sorry' Joy is fired …

A lack of assertion cost Joy dearly as she became the second candidate to be fired by Lord Sugar. She registered her disapproval with both the prototype Book-eeze product and the first pitch, but the apologetic manner in which she did so peeved Joanna.

In the boardroom, her teammates lambasted her for not speaking up more at the time. "Maybe I've been intimidated by some of the noise," suggested Joy, who referred to Apollo's arguing as "a catfight".

After Project Manager Laura brought her back to the boardroom, Joy was fired by Lord Sugar. He said that he "never saw her pull her weight in the last two weeks".

Joy was on the losing team Apollo. The three retailers placed no orders for their Book-eeze product.

Episode One: Taking the back seat ...

Despite taking a background role during the sausage task, Joy was instrumental in guiding her team Apollo towards choosing gourmet rather than bargain sausages. The marketing director was later part of the successful sub team that targeted businesses around Leadenhall Market.

Joy was on the winning team Apollo. They took £860, spent £538.84 and made a profit of £321.16.
