Post categories:

ATL | 12:23 UK time, Monday, 29 March 2010

joined us on the ATL Dance show at midnight on Friday, 26th March 2010Ìýwith three nights and three tunes to keep an eye out for...

Nights:

Unit @ The Menagerie, Easter Monday
Jet Project kick off their new monthly night in The Menagerie on Easter Monday and are joined by Space Dimension Controller and Paddy Towe, with their new track out on Get Digital this is set to be a big year for Timmy and John and this looks set to be a great new night.

Motor City Drum Ensemble & Sascha Dive @ One, The Spring & Airbrake, Saturday 17th April
Two of the best producers on the planet right now and all at one night, the One crew put on another night to rival any other happening in Belfast right now. These are the guys that have put on Move D, Robag Wruhme and Michael Mayer and this time they manage to take things up another notch with the two most prolific producers in dance music right now.

Optimo + Not Squares (Live) @ The Stiff Kitten, Saturday 27th March
A rare Belfast appearance from Optimo! Well one half of in the form of JD Twitch! I used to travel to Edinburgh and Glasgow to go to Optimo nights in the Venue and the Sub Club and they were some of my best experiences in dance music. Expect everything from Techno to Stand By Me and everything in between.

Tunes:

Starkey - Black Monolith (Fabric / Elevator Music)
Fabric's new production series launches with a focus on bass and dubstep music, this is the pick of the tracks from volume 1. An epic, driving and beautifully produced track from Starkey that includes a couple of very effective breaks.

Lusine - Crowded Room (Ghostly International)
Some off-kilter spooky electronica-influenced house! Lusine has been putting this kind of stuff out for over a decade and he sticks to his formula and it works. Lusine unique style tends not to lend itself well to the dancefloor but this track is structured enough to work on the floors.

Bomb The Bass - X-Ray Eyes (John Tejada Remix) (K7)
Big beat heroes make a comeback on K7 but this release is all about the John Tejada remix who takes the original and turns it into a rolling italo masterpiece which compliments Kelly Pollar's smooth subtle vocal.
