Should be fun tonight as we celebrate brilliant beards and magic moustaches.... The best facial hair in pop is the theme. Expect some Sparks, ZZ Top and Freddie Mercury's magnificent upper lip. Hi Bryan

Still think that you should let us know on the blog what's coming up all week - I don't always hear all of Thursday's shows.

    Anyway, for tonight:
Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath
Gerry Garcia of Grateful Dead - Friend of the Devil (or Casey Jones)
Duane Allman of the Allman Brothers - Rambling Man

    Cheers

Just thought - two strange beards on one song. Frank Zappa - Willie the Pimp, with Captain Beefheart on vocals.

One of the all time great "tashes" must be David Crosby's!

So how about his duet with Lucinda Williams from the Gram parsons Tribute "Return of The Grevious Angel" brilliant version of a great song.

Bryan, this doesn't come under moustaches or beards, but surely the fantastic sideboards sported by Ray Dorset of Mungo Jerry must be up there with the best of them. If you could fit in a little spin of "Baby Jump" that would bring back some great memories and more wnjoyable than "In The Summertime".

How about some Nick Cave? He has an amazing 'tache these days.

If you are going to play any Freddie Mercury / Queen then make sure it's something from 1980-86 (ish) because otherwise it would be facial-hair free!

Biffy Clyro - "Mountains". Crosby Stills and Nash - "Marrakesh Express". Blood Sweat and Tears - "You've Made Me So Very Happy". Marty Robbins had a cracking moustache ..."El Paso" may be fun to hear again.
