"Vomiting: made a great vomiting sound by taking a large bottle of commercial Italian dressing (chilled to make it more viscous) and a gallon juice bottle filled with water. Take the dressing (with the cap on and tip it quickly and hard for the stomach internal sound then in quick succession dump the water on whatever surface you want (sidewalk, toilet etc..) add a little "ughh" on top . You can easily do it all in one, works great! You can even do a few heaves before dumping the water for added realism."

I know an easier way involving several pints, premium vodka etc etc

First post on the blog after catching the show over recent weeks, so here goes ...

I know its only an album track but I dare you to play "Breaking into Heaven" from the Stone Roses 2nd album, The Second Coming.

All sorts of wildlife noises in the intro ...... OK so it does ramble on a bit and it is about 7 minutes long but hang in there for a top tune. Get it oan !!

Does the "laser gun" effects on "I lost my heart to a starship trooper" count? Even though it is just a really poor synth effect? Keech song anyway so don't play that.

Failing that, I take it from the reference to clicking camera's that you'll have Duran Duran's "Girls on Film" ????

and, knowing the sound effects night was last night, can anyone tell me what track from the Siousxie and the Banshees album Kaleidoscope contains the sound of a camera...or did I just make it up?

thanks Norrie. I only have Kaleidoscope on vinyl so can't play it - will have to try to find an audio version once I get the home computer back conected to the net. I remembered the song, but not the title, when Girls On Film was mentioned last night.

Julie - I am in the process of going back to vinyl, as is my brother funnily enough, but it is a pretty expensive process to be honest. Kaleidoscope I only have on vinyl as well. Dont get me started on how I feel continually ripped off by record companies!

Dont suppose it wa syour review of the terrible sound quality of the Cado Belle cd on Amazon was it?

I will continue to use both vinyl and CD/digital as they all have their place. I am still the proud owner of an Akai AP-D210 direct drive turntable with strobe speed lock. Ace machine - must have had it for about 28 years!

Norrie. I've never heard anything by Cado Belle so, sorry, it wasn't me. Hopefully I'll be back online at home so will see if I find something by them to listen to at the weekend. Heard the Warsaw Village band on Global Gathering this week and thought they sounded interesting so think I may investigate them further.

Deck is a Sansui SR222 MkII then with a Grado MFG 11T cartridge
Amp is a NAD3020
Speakers Bose studio craft

I eventually graduated to a GLANZ MFG-11T until the little Mac鈥檚 made it their business to bounce the arm over the turntable when I wasn鈥檛 looking.

All the above 鈥渁part from the cartridges for the obvious reasons鈥� still all work perfectly...
