The daughter has discovered country music...Keith Urban is a favourite. You could play Steve Forbert - 'Romeo's Tune' to remind her that, though Keith is more handsome, Steve's original version (which she heard first...live incidentally) is the better one.

'I'm Beggin' - Madcon...again for The Daughter...busking breakdancers danced to this where we were on holiday this year. We stopped to watch them a lot during our stay and I couldn't stop singing the chorus of this song (which I love...it really got on her nerves).

The bin lorry went to the house on bin day. No sign of any bucket at the door. Being a kind sort of environmental officer, the dustman rang the doorbell. The elderly occupant of the house took his time, but eventually appeared.

"Where's your bin mate?" says the skaffie (are we allowed to refer to them in such a manner these days? Another £10 to Children In Need if this post still on the blog by Monday midday)

"Ehhmm, I bin in the kitchen!" says the house owner.

"Naw, I asked where's your bin!" says the dustman

The old guy looks flustered. "Ehhhmmm, I bin in the hall?"

"Naw mate, you misunderstand! Where's your wheelie bin??!!!"

"OK", says the auld chap, "I really bin havin a pee..."

I can also report 2 lobsters were dropped into boiling water Chez Babs - following expert advice on the blog - they were delicious if a bit messy! Couldn't cope with the stabbing method I'm afraid, and left the kitchen immediately after the boiling began! I know...what a softie!
