Propaganda Dr Mabuse the German language has no pretensions of being romantic nor easy on the ear. The whole time, manner, place, verb at the end word order thing gets in the way. But this is a top tune from my younger days I can't rationally explain the appeal of. (see what I did....ach, forget it! ;o) )

Howdi Blogotariat!

What a great night out! Smiffy and me had a great time and thanks Paulo for organising it.It was great to meet everyone again and the folks I'd not met before - to Adam for coming all the way from Rio armed with the shot glasses.Lovely bunch of people.

Our Senga is some kid, I was immediately regretting runing away from our weekend in Blackpool last year.

After leaving HRC, Julie, Adam and myself wandered down to a pub in the Cannongate to meet Smiffy & her dad, more strong drink was taken.

After we dropped Julie off, we drove in entirely the wrong direction for about half an hour, the rain got worse, so eventually stopped at Harthill for a cup of tea, watched the Tottenham riot for a while and sauntered in about 5:00.

Great night out, thanks for being such good company - hope the daughter was fine when you got in, Jullie - safe journey 'home', Adam.

#5 & 23 and others, yes, I did get soaked but that was because of the monsoon conditions in South Queensferry & the walk fae Dalmeny station, not fae a swim in Port Edgar Marina.

Up for the coastguard forecast at 0730 and the decision taken to cast off at 8am. We scraped over the bottom of Anster harbour to moor at 1pm. A great experience in Largo Bay however. We often see dolphins at our end of the Forth but I got a shock when a 25' whale surfaced about 20 yards ahead of the boat. It dived and we kept looking around to see if it would come up again. It did, this time no more than 10 yards alongside the yacht. It was so close, we got the spray and the stench of its fishy exhale!

Agreed with all comments above re the brilliant night out. You should have been there Bryan, you would have loved it. Pity Scotch, Norrie & Willie didn't manage along.

#44 fabulous - we had a similar experience on the way to Rum one year, the whale spent quite some time diving under the boat and coming up the other side. And boy, it's breath did indeed smell fishy!

Sometimes you just have to go through the motions (sort of like swimming near the Burntisland beach) a couple of times, then vow to not do it again if you can avoid it in future. Yep, fantastic shout. I was going to put it up myself but wasn't sure if it's two songs with the one tune (La Comedie seems remote from To The End as a lyric) or whether it's one song with additional words in French.

Thinking the former ( i.e. it has two titles) I thought it was not available to choose, but now that you've done it, I'll give a massive 2nd to La Comedie/To The End- Francoise/Hardy Blur.

Any excuse to hear Fransoice will do me.

There are a couple of others: There was once a record called "Do You Speak French?" but I can't remember who it was by.I think they also made a record about the boudoir called " People Are Still Having Sex".
