Wouldnt it be lovely to drive about in a car where the thickness of the paint really matters!

My hubby is coming back to his new car surprise in 8 days (yes only 8 days!) it arrived 2 days after he left for Kabul and has sat on the drive looking lustful for nearly 5 months - I only tend to potter to the garden center in it as I LOVE my Mini too much!

But then the thought of a lively lovely purring aston martin or a mercedes gull wing... A girl can only dream....

We're groaning under the weight of the strawbs - got about 15 jars of strawb jam, also got loads of gooseberries (good jam!) and the razzers are just coming into ripe perfection - more jam!

Mr Diva sold 7 jars at work today: at £2.50 a jar I'll be able to retire soon!!

I do not wish to find out the thickness of the paint on my car. That would probably mean an altercation with something or someone. I like my car with all its paint on!

Speaking of which, the supermarket delivery lorry which regularly attempts to drive up our very narrow lane managed to avoid all potential altercations with all the parked cars (which were all parked within marked bays, but it still had difficulty) and then proceeded to take out part of a roof further up the road. Sigh.

The covers are off indeed - but when are they going to start playing again?!

Hurrah hurray I managed to get some insulin in at last so I can go and eat something substantial and spoil my dinner - toad in the hole tonight!

A great place in Beijing in the bar "Bai Feng" which is on the Hou Hai Lake in the central region of Brijing - Spring there is lovely as they have the festival of the lights and there are lots of cherry blossom trees. The bar itself is small, smokey (wood smoke from the stove) and tucked away by the bridge.
