Tomorrow's Blog Today.

Chris Evans | 00:01 UK time, Thursday, 18 December 2008

Alright, one week from today...

...we will all hopefully have been visited by The Man With the Bag.

And as promised I will be sending, via Santa, Gingembre's TFI memorabilia but there is a BUT.

Originally I was going to send G a TFI holdall. They are really big and cool but I lost them in the move, I think. Although, to be honest, Tash might know where they are.

There is however an alternative: Doc Martens made me up a really groovy pair of TFI customised boots.

I have never worn them and they have always sat on the shelf in my office next to a tambourine signed by Rod Stewart (don't ask). Obviously I like them, in fact I love them, but I could give one away.

Now the thing is the bag is much more useable and cool, whereas the boot would just be cool but a bit more special. I am dilemmared.

Now on a radio footing, BOY do we have a surprise for you tonight.

CLP.

2008.

X.

P.S. Don't forget it's the last ALL REQUEST of the year tomorrow...so pick the last first song of the year...

    Where is everybody?????

Never seen the blog so empty.

My choice for first ARF record is "Rockin' All Over The World" by Status Quo. That should get everyone dancing round the kitchen/bedroom or wherever.

Merry Christmas everybody, I will be far too busy to read the blog next week, so have a safe Christmas and Peaceful New Year. Look forward to reading all your comments at some point!

    Give him the boot Chris.

Imagine having that sat on your windowsill, or mantlepiece, or bedside table, or ohh just about anywhere. How very cool, its sub zero.

    Ginge, can ya breathe yet?

ARF - She Sells Sanctuararay - The Cult.

    Please.

If not, can I have the holdall? I wouldn't deprive you of the other boot.

    MW, a!

Oops - did some work for a while and nearly got caught out - a new blog appears just like magic!

Bet Gingembre is like the proverbial dog with 2 whatevers after that personalised blog. Good on you Chris for remembering.

I would also like to wish you and Tash a very happy festive season and hope it brings you all that you wish for.

Sadly, unlike many others I don't finish work today or tomorrow so must plod on...........

I texted Gingembre but guess he must be working. I'm so excited about his reaction when he reads this ....!!

    Deffo The Boot.

There used to be a DMs shop in Covent Garden, and I used to go in there purely to look at the bright yellow boot signed by Steven Tyler.

DD - from what I gather, his sack will be truly bulging by the time he gets to Diva Towers!!! Just how I like it!!!

Morning, what actually is a hold-all? I know it's something that holds stuff but what makes it different to a bag?

Last ARF before Christmas so surely it has to be Christmassssy?! So a choice between Pogues and Slade for me... I'll go with ARF - Slade - Merry Christmas Everybody.

I get 3 days off next week but Mr DF only gets 2, so guess who'll be doing the inevitable last minute bits of panic shopping on Christmas Eve as usual? Yep - you've got it......

Now, must do another hour or so and then I can allow myself a lunch break. I do like my work at home days!

ARF - White Christmas by Bing please CLP.

  • Comment number 15.

    Dear Santa

If it's not too late, can I please have a crystal ball for Christmas.

You see, I work for a fairly small company but we are rather spread out within the building. I tend to answer 90% of the incoming phone calls and am getting mighty peeved with the following:-

"Hello, I've got a missed call on my mobile from this number".

So, you see Santa, a crystal ball will help my plight no end when these callers return calls to they don't know who!!

    Yours hopefully

Chris, you will never fully know how you have made my year, I won't be so bold as to choose my gift as both of them sound so amazing. The bag would be used for everything and the boot, well it would be displayed very prominantly in KWtowers. The truth be known my eyes filled with water and I just sat open mouthed for a long time. All the best for your Christmas break and for the wonderful happenings due in the New Year.

To all bloggers and lurkers - I wish you all a very good Christmas and a happy New Year.

Remember don't drink (drug) or drive and drive to arrive at your destination - speed less for safety. Public service broadcast out.

    Well....hello :)

Now don't hit me for being absent for so long...my new job is taking sooooo much time I have no chance to get on the blog any more, and I have also just been on a round the world extravaganza taking in the USA, Canada, Sri-Lanka, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam and finally Thailand (with an extra 4 days stuck in Phuket thanks to airport closure). Add to that my management activities and also sleeping, means I have so little time for other things. In addition my home PC has gone to the little PC heaven in the sky means I am stuck with my work pc until santa brings me a new one for Crimbo (already ordered and being built by those good people a Packard Bell (other PC makes are available) ).

Anyway, the trip was great and there are pics on my FB page.

I just wanted to wish you all a fantastic Christmas and New Year...i shall be dashing off on Saturday to the snowey wastes of canada to help my nephew build the world's biggest snow fort. I am sure your plans are numerous and wonderful..perhaps the hectic work place will calm down and I can spend some time getting to know you guys again. :)

And well done Gingembre...that will be a great Crimbo pressy from the Ginger one :)

It got quite busy, and short of going to each table and asking who they were - which would have probably got me barred for life - I didn't really know what to do.

I suppose I could have brought a helium filled balloon with 'Matt from Rudgwick' on it and tied it to our table, but I'm not the kind of guy to draw attention to myself.

So, sadly, I still have Dan The Man's beer tokens in my pocket.

If I ever get comments about my nips, I say "yes, my tw*t detctors are switched on and clearly working".

I second your ARF choice MW, a, if it has to be Christmassy.

If CLP reads today's comments I dread to think what he'll make of it all!

I am now officially bored stiff with my work but still have tons to wade through. Roll on 23 Dec that's what I say! Can't come soon enough for me.

gingembre - congrats!!! Sorry about the job. Not much consolation but life does usually know what is best for you so perhaps the right/next job is waiting patiently for you! And getting CLP's boot/holdall will make up for all your down-ness i'm sure!

PP just watched your link...really lovely and very christmassy! I love each and everyone of those movies.

Christoph - a huge big thank you and big hugs to you and yours for keeping us all happy this year, both on and off the blog! May your Christmas be everything you deserve and wish for.

SBP - some Cappie stars to consider for the day/year!

2009 could prove incredibly rewarding in many different ways. Remember this as you go through the year. Last year I had a lot of Cappies saying they felt they'd been promised the earth by Jupiter and that he'd failed to deliver. That's because you only read or remembered half the story - the Jupiter half. The second half - the Pluto half - is just as powerful and still influencing you now. Let go of the dross, the rubbish, the toxic behaviour in any and all parts of your life and you will get all the riches (emotional and otherwise) that Pluto has to offer you. Hang on to the cr*p, and Pluto will have to use his more painful means of making sure that you are free to make the changes that destiny has in store for you. Sounds dramatic? It could be! Click here for more.

OO7 - what a fab choice, if that's chosen I'll have tears in my eyes at start of show!!!

derbyfi - just caught a sneaky glimpse at the very very end. Swwooooooon!

Mr Diva out on Saturday night so I'm going to indulge myself in the special they did the other weekend - it's been sitting there on tape, teasing me, tempting me ....

... then, if he's really late back, I may indulge even further in the extras DVD from the Beautiful World tour .... y'know, the nakked ice bath one .....

Ackchewerlly, I might lock Mr Diva out all night ....

    hehehehehehe

The concert i saw at the 02 last december (5 rows from the stage - i could almost smell HIs Donaldness - yay!!!) was filmed and released on dvd earlier this year. the extras dvd has got a scene where they all take a nakked ice bath together. s'nice!!

now, i have a santa chocolate lolly here. do i start it now, or hang on til 4pm in case Howard fancies a lick???

    ;-)

Dook we were wondering where you had got to! The thought of you drowned in goose/turkey feathers did cross our minds. Hope you're feeling better now.

Dreamer - snuggle with your film and give alfie a cuddle.

James what a good choice - haven't heard that in ages!!! Takes me back to when I was single and in me own flat .... sigh.....
Have you had your foot of snow yet?

  • Comment number 94.

When does Woollies close? Might be a bargain to be had!!

I don't like big concerts where you're miles away and can just see tiny specks on stage plus a video screen - but 5 rows back is very lucky (or v expensive?)

Keep the lolly - if he's delayed/diverted it might console you a bit.

#94 - just spawny, i think! it was one of those times when you just took what tickets were available from Tckmaster. when we got to our seats i checked, checked and re-checked coz i thought it was too good to be true and that there must be some mistake. i even asked an 02 steward just to make sure we were in the right block / row etc.

going to wembley stadium next july to see them again.

a fantastic girly girls day out!
