Exclusive video: Lisa Fowler's return...

Nickie | 18:16 UK time, Wednesday, 28 July 2010

For the uninitiated, here's a potted history of Lisa's chequered past with Phil:

With Phil, shoots Phil, marries Mark Fowler, has Phil's baby (Louise), gets back with Phil, falls out with him again, runs off to Portugal with baby Louise, loses Louise to Phil, follows Phil back to Walford, tries to kill him again, then disappears with Louise.

And as you can see from this clip, the Mitchells haven't exactly forgiven or forgotten. Ouch, that's gotta hurt...

It's Peggy, Peggy, Peggy, as family matters for the the Mitchell matriarch dominates our preview gallery.

Making a splash!

Pat and Peggy uncork some anarchy. But why do they appear to be seeing red (or is it rosé?) and trashing the Vic?

Get out of my...

You know the rest. Peggy makes a point, but Roxy's mind is made up. What has she decided about the future of the Vic?

Chryed: The dilemmas keep on coming...

Nickie | 14:38 UK time, Thursday, 22 July 2010

THAT'S IT.ÌýWe've held our counsel on this subject LONG ENOUGH. All week, the vote on the homepage has been asking 'Who would beÌýyour ideal flatmate - Christian or Syed'. The results have been pretty conclusive, butÌýwe need to know MORE.

So tell us - who's your ideal flatmate and WHY?

In the illustrative photograph below, you'll note that you (as played by Tamwar) are sittingÌýwith both Christian and Syed, however, you can't have em both! So make up your mind and explain yourself... NOW

You (aka Tamwar), Christian and Syed

It seems Walford's full of grumpy guys and gals this week, but will our previews bring a smile to your face? There's only one way to find out...

All washed up?

Bianca dishes it out to Ricky when Pat threatens to scupper Bianca's plans. Will one of them throw in the (tea) towel?

A blessing in disguise?

Lucas tries to keep his cool as Mercy and her gran grill him at Bible class.

Barbara Windsor waves goodbye to EastEnders

Nickie | 00:01 UK time, Saturday, 17 July 2010

Ladies and gentlemen, grab your tissues. Barbara Windsor has recorded her last scene* as Peggy Mitchell and we were there, trying not to ruin the sound quality with our noisy sobs.

The scene was recorded in a single take (what a pro) and afterwards, an emotional Barbara gave a moving speech, through her tears, with a red-eyed Rita Simons (Roxy) and Samantha Womack (Ronnie) by her side. She spoke about her love of the show and what a wrench it is toÌýsay goodbyeÌýafter sixteen unforgettable years on Albert Square. What a legend.

Rita Simons, Barbara Windsor, Sam Womack

June Brown

"I shall miss her enormously and she is a wonderful friend. I will miss our lunches, coffee and catching up on gossip!"

Rita Simons

"I am really going to miss Barbara. On set, Barbara is like my honorary real life auntie.Ìý She is a great mentor and she's taught me so much.Ìý Barbara is such a professional and it has been an honour to work with her.Ìý She is truly supportive and she will be greatly missed at EastEnders."
Ìý

"I think the funniest moment I remember from working with Barbara was when she had to dress up in a cowgirl outfit, complete with tequila guns.Ìý She looked hilarious and we had such a laugh filming those scenes"

Sam Womack

"There was a line in a script "you have always been like a mother to me" and that summed it up perfectly for me. Barbara took myself and Rita under her wing from the day we started and it's a wrench to let her go.Ìý We will miss her dearly and we will definitely stay in touch - she won't be able to get rid of us!"

ÌýRita Simons, Glynis Barber, Barbara Windsor and Sam Womack

Ìý* Scenes are recorded out of order, so the final scene she recorded is not the final scene that will appear on TV.

It's all about the boys this week, as we follow the trials (quite literaly) of the troublesome teen Ben, get hot and sweaty with Christian and Syed, and watch Lucas sweat for other reasons.

Should he stay or should he go?

Phil's got plans for his son that could see him dodging detention. But will Ben play along, or take his punishment?

Rocky road ahead?

He's behind you! Raging Ben spars with Jay in an attempt by Phil to toughen him up for juvenile detention.
