What a spectacle! Highlights of Autumnwatch show four

Bang - the autumn firework display has begun! The New Forest is looking at its autumnal best and this is the story for woodland across the country. From reds to burnt oranges to yellows - the colours are stunning and in my opinion a must see! If you are able to get out I鈥檓 sure you won't be disappointed - I know Chris and Kate weren鈥檛.
The New Forest has been Chris's local patch since he was a boy and it was a pleasure to step back in time with him as he reminisced about badger watching with naturalist and broadcaster Eric Ashby. Chris's passion for badgers remains - he was smiling from ear to ear after this week's encounter.

It was great to see Gordon and the grey seals on Orkney - another seasonal highlight. What's really exciting is you can now follow the daily dramas of the seals via the website and the webcams. Gordon's already had his own moments of drama, including that mother giving her pup a swimming lesson during a storm.

As you may have heard, Kate's not with us next week so I hope the boys behave themselves - they鈥檙e off to Mull this weekend to catch up with warden Dave Sexton and the hugely successful . Nick Baker will be exploring Dartmoor (his local patch) and taking us on a macro journey into the world of the oak tree.
