Did anyone watch Ö÷²¥´óÐã Countryfile on 10 April, from Hampshire (still on iplayer)? In the 54th minute they referred to 'mating frogs'. But they were CLEARLY mating toads! I think that was REALLY REALLY BAD.
Was the man with the camera short-sighted? And Ellie reluctant to correct him?
Or was the footage taken when they weren't actually present?
Not impressed.

i could not agree more that it may have been edited and they were not actually looking at anything . But what made me laugh they did not just say frogs once they mentioned frogs 4 or five times !!!
I'm glad other people noticed .
this is what i put ! ( just a little back ground by the way! i wrote and complained last month about a geographical error and patronising way they slagged barnsley off too (my home town ))
"Here we go again !
once upon a time countryfile would usually be factually correct , but when not insulting barnsley folk by claiming you are in sheffield when in fact you were in barnsley! and then when actually acknowledging you were in barnsley patronising our lovely countryside .
You now have a guy on your program that photographs wildlife on the chalk rivers ,
that can't identify a frog from a toad .
Now either this is some very bad editing as you did not have the footage of the frogs they were referring to quite a few times "frogs " frogs " frogs " when they were clearly toads .
Or your presenter and featured photographer were clearly incapable of identifying them .
Your supposed to be a factual program , and mistakes like this do not do your self any favours. Thanks paul william woodcock
ps If julia bradbury would like to talk these apparent inaccuracy problems over ! over a nice meal my mobile number is [Personal details removed by Moderator] . just tell her to to send me a text :) ""
I'll let you know what happens .
