The excitement is really building here in Ö÷²¥´óÐã TV Centre, 'coz we're officially into Strictly Come Dancing week! There's only four days to go until the first live show of the series (Friday, 9pm, Ö÷²¥´óÐã One/Ö÷²¥´óÐã HD), with the second show following hot on its heels on Saturday at 6pm.

Over the next four days, we'll present the final four training videos, so you'll be able to get a glimpse of how all of our couples are looking ahead of the first show.

Today, it's the turn of glamorous actress Felicity Kendal and her partner Vincent Simone.

I have decided that I actually qite like Vincent as he seems to be lovely to all his partners. Felicity looks like she lacks a bit of confidence. I am sure Vincent will work on this as the weeks go by.

I'd have been happier if the wrist watches had been removed. Not very dignified.

Felicity gets my vote. Vincent is a superb dancer and teacher. They are in with a good chance of winning Strictly this year.

I'm willing this pair to do well because I love the class and elegance Felicity brings, and because Vincent is my favourite pro! He's sweet, and patient and supportive and cute and funny and charming and exciting to watch....I just adore him!

I desperately want Vinnie to lift that Glitter Ball once.

Is that too much to ask?!

What is lovely about this clip is that Vincent does so want Felicity to enjoy herself.
I too would love Vincent to win SCD, he was so close in series 6.

My mum loves Felicity! She'll be rooting all the way for her.

Would a smaller heel help? It must be difficult going from flat shoes to heels. C'mon Felicity, you're better than you're giving yourself credit for. If a singer can pretend to be a dancer then you've got an advantage. I remember Vincent saying to Louise, 'you're an actress, so act the part', and she did really well. Just go for it girl. You've got a lot of fans supporting you.

    Hear hear bruno!

Felicity looks a bit lost at the moment but I'm confident she will find her dancing feet. It's very early days.

I actually quite like the idea of Felicity winning. She looks adorable. She is adorable. And even though she's struggling a bit with those high heels, I've every confidence she pull it off.

Nice blog, by the way. ;)

I think that Vincent and Felicity will be Magnifico! Felicity has true grace and charm and is working really hard. Vincent is so patient when teaching and has a fantastic sense of humour. I had dance lessons with him and he was amazing!! I was a total amateur and Im sure he must have had bruised toes every week after our lessons. They will be wonderful, cant wait for Friday!

    i luv vincent

Vincent, please put her in lower heels if she's struggling - she will be able to free up more and use her feet better (watch out for her using flat feet and heel leads in rumba and cha cha) if she doesn't feel like she's going to fall over all the time.
Felicity, you are a sexy, classy, feminine, attractive woman with the natural poise of a dancer (these are things many dancers have to try to cultivate - you are lucky, you have them already)- granted you are not 21 anymore, but you can hold your own with these girls. You are looking good in training - I'm an ex dance teacher, so I know what I'm talking about. Remember, you are a great actress - act your way through for the first few weeks if you have to (it's an advantage some of the others don't have and would dearly love) and the the confidence will slowly start to kick in.
I have my fingers crossed for both of you for your first week.

I missed the beginning of strictly as I was on holiday but I,m looking forward to sitting down over the winter and enjoying strictly again, although I think there are too many couples.

  • Comment number 18.

I love Felicity Kendal and she never seems to look any older does she!! I think she could be the dark horse in this years Strictly actually, if she can just get the dancing up to speed then she'll be there I reckon because she's bound to look gorgeous in whatever outfit they put her in!! Sock it to them Felicity!!!!

Maybe if Gavin spent more time learning the dance than he does admiring himself in the mirror,he might do better.Man,,,,,,is that boy conceited.
