The height difference is quite striking with Dan and Katya and this must make it quite difficult especially in the ballroom dances. We have to remember that these videos were filmed on first couple of days so cannot expect too much from him. Brendan and Lulu again have this big height difference but so much easier for them because Brendan is the professional dancer.

Wow - he's taller than I imagined. He seems to have good posture. I like the funky chicken look to hold the top line. Looks like he's got potential. From the position of Katya's nose, I hope he remembers his deoderant!

Yes Dan seems competitive, he was a former tennis player which probably explains why, he has good straight posture so height difference should be okay - If he's a quick learner he and Katya could make a good pair.

I agree with the comments about the height difference. Because we only saw them for a short while at the launch show it wasn't so noticeable. Will they have problems? We will have to wait and see but one thing I picked up on was Katyas comment about how self conscious Dan was and I think that was her last celeb partner Gavins problem to a certain degree last series although the judges didn't help with their comments on his 1st latin. He had done an excellent waltz the previous week but instead of giving him a clean latin slate they felt that as he did a great ballroom he should have done a great latin and in their disappointment they didn't really give him any constructive criticism. If Forceteen is wrong I would like to call them Team Datya

@#13 we tried Datya but it didn't sit right and was too close to Gatya - Datya just sounded better,

Dan and Katya obviously getting along well together - he has a good dry sense of humour but is taking the dancing seriously, Interested to see what Katya prepares for their latin dance. I'm sure he is going to last much longer than any of the others from ITV stable.
