Why are Holly and Russell looking like they're doing Salsa when they both did cha cha's last week? Surely the entire point of this week of giving them a bye was so that the audience could see couples do both Latin AND Ballroom and make up their minds accordingly... doesn't that defeat the object?

However- must say that I'm impressed with a few of the Foxtrots, Alex, Robbie, Jason; and Rory and Audley seem to be doing alright as well! 2 Surprises in store right there on Saturday? hmmm...

DP1992 I agree. One ballroom one latin before the public vote. That's the deal. I don't think it will affect the outcome but it does defeat the object.
Lulu and Edwina will redeem themselves..... not so sure about Nancy. Jason, Harry, Holly, Anita and Chelsee all looking good :):)

Agree with both DP1992 and ojtocs.

Surely the whole point of no week 1 elimination was that all the contestant were to experience performing both a ballroom and latin dance before one being voted off in week 2!

Some of the Foxtrots look promising (Jason, Alex, Robbie, even Lulu & Edwina).

I agree with the above comments re Holly and Russell doing latin again. Lets hope someone can give us an explanation

What's the point in filming a rehearsal video and not showing their feet! we could see neither Holly or Harry's footwork which was disappointing, so cannot comment on them. Impressed with Anita, Alex, Audley, Jason, Dan, and Robbie looks much improved from last week. Lulu in hold so won't be wandering away from Brendan she too is looking good. Hopefully will see more on It Takes Two tonight..

Have to agree with the others - I thought whole point of waiting until couples have done 2 dances before the public vote is so that we can judge them across Ballroom & Latin.

Was it just me or was Rory wearing his "Tony Blair" smile through his performance?

I know sweet fa about dancing. I really have as much clue about steps and posture as how to fly the USS Enterprise. But going on how I perceive the performances in training the ones who looks good to me..

Anita looks like she is moving alright. No complaints from me.

Possibly Dan as he looks for all the world to me like he is trying to cover floor space (if that is any help), although his steps to me can be better.

Harry Judd's hold to me looks spot on.

I cannot see anything inherently wrong with Holly.

Jason's rise and fall and his control of Khristina looks good to me

Possibly even Robbie as his footwork looked in time to Ola's although I cannot comment about his posture.

Rory's training to me doesn't look laboured. A bit more pace and I think we could be in for a decent score.

Just my thoughts.

Can I also add something that I forgot to mention above before I go? On the topic of the fact some who did the latin last week (Cha-Cha-Cha) are doing this week's latin (Salsa), only two of the eight who did the Cha-Cha-Cha are doing the Salsa (Holly & Russell). Robbie, Lulu, Jason, Harry, Alex and Edwina who did the Cha-Cha-Cha are doing the Foxtrot.

At SCD Fanatic- I agree that only two are doing two Latin dances- but that's still two too many! Everyone should be on a balanced playing field come the end of week 2 and the first audience vote- and Holly and Russell are not! Methinks the sex appeal of Holly and the comedy value of Russell would both be lost in Ballroom- and the producers have, in their desperate attempt to keep viewers to the show, especially for those all important first voting figures, have kept their two main assets in where they feel they'll get the most acclaim...

I think the training footage is good. A few awkward moves, but it's still only week 2. They all need some encouragement. I hope Craig is more positive with his critique this week. He could still give the same scores - but mention some of the good stuff too.

DP1992 I agree it's about voting figures..... there's no other reason to meddle with a perfectly good format.

Yes agree with everyone it's odd Holly and Russell are dancing latin two weeks running - maybe producers simply made a mistake with the lineup? Hopefully someone out there will let us know the reason if there is one?

Watching the rehearsals this week I think the celebrities are all doing well,it is easy to critise someone else, remember they are still learning.Celebrities keep going you are brilliant.

Interested to see how Chelsee and Pasha do this week - didn't think she looked quite so good as in her ballroom last week. she and he both mentioned her having problems concentrating, and he tried to take away her mobile phone! Do hope they manage to pick things up in time for tomorrow night as I had high hopes for her.

It wasn't guaranteed that there would be one each of Latin and/or Ballroom, and last year was the same--some did two of one. Also, even if they get through to the final, they will not have danced every dance (Pamela never did the samba, for instance).

Think the arrange the dances for entertainment value rather than balance. So at the moment they are starting & ending with a Latin which means there has to be more couples doing Latin.

Do not be surprised if Russell & Flavia are the last ones on as Russell seems to be this years Widdy. Thankfully he is making a real effort to learn the dances.

It's going to be difficult to guess who will go this week - there seem to be a lot of couples who are about the same level now - Thought Len gave Anton some very good advice on ITT last night to teach Nancy a 'proper' tango and this is what he seems to be doing! so they could well survive another week. Russell I'm sure will remain for a while after better dancers are voted off as people love Russell's whole positive attitude and he can actually dance unlike Anne W. last year. So afraid it could well be - Audley, Dan or even Lulu if she messes steps up again. Still hope it will be Nancy and Anton - most of us still don't get Nancy I'm afraid.
